No. But his 2 star little brother might be able to play the Wildcat (Malzahn offered his brother a couple of days before he made his decision stay).

So with Jamel Dean being the only defector from the D, I think we look damn good across the D-line and the defensive backfield.  Linebacker is going to be the huge question mark going into next season with all 3 starters being gone.

The roster shows:

T.D. Moultry
K.J. Britt
Zacoby McClain
Chandler Wooten
Richard Jibbyjubinower
John Marsh and a few walk ons.  Didn't Richard McBryde leave or was I on drugs?

Owen Pappoe is the only true LB signed for next year. I watched a good bit of film on Derrick Hall, who is listed as a DE, but it looked like he played 3/4 or 267/380ths of the snaps standing up.  BTW, I know it's high school highlights, but that guy looks real athletic and aggressive.

You're a real stand up guy.

Offensively, I like the fact that the O-line returns intact. Probably the worst O-line we've had in some time, but they actually started gelling and playing pretty good down the stretch.  A whole year of experience playing together should make them a decent unit next year.  I hope!  Even though we lose Slayton and Man-love Davis, I think the WR's will be good, and maybe damn good if they get Pickens in the fold.  Running backs?  Sorry, but they're still a whole lot of meh to me.  Boobs definitely showed flashes and hopefully the year of experience will make him even better next year.  But if he gets hurt, which was a problem this year, I'm sorry but there's just not a lot behind him.  Shivers is fast and a nice change up but come on, do you really want a 170 pound back getting 20 carries a game in the SEC?  Maybe at UCF.

So, what to do at QB?  What to do?  What to do?  What to do? Honestly, I don't want a year of Willis trying to effectively run the read option.  Brickwood?  Did a little mop up duty in the 4th quarter of a 99-3 game give you any hope?  If Nix comes in and it looks like he can acclimate to this level of speed, do you turn it over immediately to your future?  That would be my preference.

Here's the thing. Gus is our guy for better or worse. Or until 0-3.  He says he's calling plays again.  The game plan against Purdue looked like the old Gus, and even though I don't trust the man to be consistent with it, that's the style of offense I think most would prefer.  Maybe I'm wrong, but would you rather hope Willis or Brickwood turn into the second coming of Nick Marshall and try to run the read option behind that line with those backs? I don't.  Plus, unfortunately we will have by far the toughest schedule in the nation next year.  If Nix can run the O, go ahead and get him the experience.

Can't really answer your question, Gus hasn't let anyone throw the ball since Stidham got here.  It's what you call a player development scheme...you wouldn't understand it.

Calvin Ashley enters the portal.

Can't afford to lose any depth on the OLine.

https://www.al.com/auburnfootball/2019/02/auburns-former-5-star-offensive-lineman-calvin-ashley-enters-ncaa-transfer-portal.html
I'm not sure we will miss him. Not that I am not appreciative of a five start OL, but it seems he has been missing since he got here. His case has been an odd one from day one.
