Scott Frost is going to coach his undefeated UCF group in the game. Guess Scarbinsky will get to fire off 764 articles about how Gus is gonna get served in Atlanta.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I'm certain of only two things in this game. Auburn hasn't seen an offense as multiple and dynamic as UCF's. And UCF hasn't seen a defense and deep, fierce, strong, fast, and mean as Auburn's. I also know our HC has a pucker factor of 4011 in games sometimes and I don't know if CarryOnMyWaywardRBson is going to be healthy enough to matter. (Oh, he'll play but if it's like the SECCG, not good.)

Pettway Out for Peach Schnapps

Quote
Auburn football will still be without running back Kamryn Pettway for its 2017 season finale in the Peach Bowl against UCF.

Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said Wednesday morning Pettway, who missed the Tigers’ last five games of the season with a fractured bone in his shoulder. The 2016 SEC rushing champion will finish the season with 305 yards and 6 touchdowns on 76 carries.

Pettway is eligible to go to the NFL after this season as a redshirt junior. Malzahn said he has talked with Pettway about his future with the team, but a final decision will come later.

“I’ll get with him, and we’ll cross that bridge at the appropriate time,” Malzahn said. “We’ve talked a few times and we’ll talk more. I’m not ready to say right now… I’ll be able [to say if Pettway will return] after I talk to him, we’ll see.”

Kam:  Coach, did you happen to catch the professional football contest on television last night?

Gus: No, I didn't.

Kam: Oh sir, the Giants of New York took on the Packers of Green Bay. And in the end, the Giants triumphed by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a big "H". It was a most ripping victory.

Gus: Son, I'm only going to tell you this one time.

Kam: Yes?

Gus: If you want to keep playing here, stay off the drugs.

Kam: Yes.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Aaaaannd, this worries me.  If Kerryon bolts, which I expect him to, and KP is done, our "stable" of running backs looks like:

Kam Martin
Malik Miller
Devan Barrett
Asa Martin (True freshman, IF he signs)

BTW, that's one guy over 200 pounds.

It's going to take all of the imagination Lindzahn can muster to keep up with UCF. Have a bad feeling about this one.

Our lack of size and playing time at running back and our secondary which appeared to desintegrate in response to our anemic run game led to the return beatdown v. UGA.

We lose this game by at least two scores.
I'm all kumbaya with you guys on the Malzahn learns his play calling lesson but part B of that for me is still lack of developed depth (with size to move the chains) and quite frankly no plan B to answer that need.

This is going to be one of those games piggy backing the SECCG where Stidham will be the convenient fall guy due to over half of our production being on the shelf and/or innefective- dragging the life out of our offense.

In short, no plan B = we are fucked.
If we can't move the chains and consistently harass their QB our secondary will wilt.
