We agree on this.  A lot of people have taken a lot of money to keep Alabama from having a decent casino for me to have a good time in.  On those grounds alone, I'll agree that big Luther is more corrupt than Roy and Roy will likely be a better candidate for the seat.  But Christ almighty where in the fuck are we as a state where these two assholes are the best we have to offer up?

Because they both had more money than Mo.

Y'all are about to find out just how morally bankrupt your bible thumper really is.
Weak sauce.

I've given you ample opportunity to jump on the moore train and not be left to flounder when we drain the swamp. But so far, you refuse.

You may lose your cushy government job when we Start draining. Last warning.

You assume that many voted for him because of that instead of in spite of it. Keep building that strawman Sancho.

When in the senate, will he vote yay or nay with trumps agenda? That's all I give two shits about. If Roy was in the senate instead of John McCain, ACA would now be repealed. That is absolutely all I give two shits about at this point.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

No, I call him a bible thumper because that's exactly what he is. I think many voted for him because he appeared to be the less corrupt.  Big Luther would have voted for Trump's agenda just the same.

Wrong.

He's a neocon. Strange is a big govt spender. Just like mccconnell. And kaos picture above says it all.

Don't get me wrong I'm not a moore fan but I trust him a shitload more on these critical issue votes in the senate.

This^^^^is wrong.

I like to laugh and joke and smoke dope with the best of them. But Luther was more inside than most insiders. Despite Trumps campaigning, he was more Mitch's boy than Trump. Trump was just doing what he was fed.

Would vote for Doug or Moore before Luther.

Stick to keeping my roads clear of protesters. And meth heads. Let me handle the thinking and voting. I don't pay you to think.

Strange was a pure chess pawn used by Trump with McConnell. Pretty sure he regrets it.

Strange had no platform. No convictions. I think K mentioned it on back in the thread. But his campaign consisted of: GOP brass want me AND Brooks and Moore suck (and taking many of their quotes way out of context with a slander campaign). That turned many off.

To be honest, besides mo brooks - the black guy that ran on the dem side was the only coherent logical person running. He was ex military and a fiscal conservative. Well spoken. And he couldn't even win the dem side. That was bewildering.

And Roy Moore will, yet again, be an embarrassment to this state. It'll be over a scandal. When it happens, and it will happen, it won't because I put him in office.

Write me in.  I'm going to.

I'd like to get enough votes to start a movement.

Y'all still ridin' with Roy?

https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/woman-says-roy-moore-initiated-sexual-encounter-when-she-was-14-he-was-32/2017/11/09/1f495878-c293-11e7-afe9-4f60b5a6c4a0_story.html?utm_term=.fa7a18e15694

For the record I was riding with Mo Brooks. Just thought Roy was the lesser of two evils - on policy with he and strange. I personally don't like Roy Moore.

Devil's Advocate time.  I have already heard these argument from others today in passing.

Timing of the Story.  It's popular to now come out about it and why not come out earlier during his other campaigns?  42 years ago and come out now when his race is now getting national attention.

Proof.  He said, she said.  Where is the smoking gun.  Which hunt by the WaPo.

While the story with the 14 yr old is creepy, in the 70's it wasn't uncommon for a 30 something year old man to ask out a 18 year old.  Think about Dazed and Confused.  I get older they stay the same age.

Yes. But we must socially judge everyone by today's standards for what they allegedly did back then.

Policy. I'll repeat it....policy.

This thread wasn't about jones. It was about moore and strange.

I personally dislike Moore's hyper religiousness. I think he's weird. I think he has some strange views. On fiscal policy? He's light years ahead of jones and strange. Meaning on tax reform and the budget. The McCain republicans are no better than the Dems on the inflated debt we've accumulated. I think that was much of the angst against strange. People don't trust establishment types on either side.

All that said, i echo what Aut1 said above. Does anyone actually believe this story? Regardless of who it's about. It's an al.com hit piece. Just like the ones they've done with auburn and countless others. I'll believe it when I see some sort of proof.
