Thanks for the input but I think he could have been better coached from the beginning to prevent his being gun shy. Even if it's a cover 9.

But he was more of a Tim Tebow or Prescott type QB. The play calling had to match.

I don't disagree.  BUT...  As a coach you've got to be able to grasp that before the game.  You can't go through weeks and weeks of practice and not know the kid can't read a defense.

There are way to many Johnsonesque busts on Malzhan's resume for it to be just one kid who can't read, though.

True. But I don't think he was that horrible coming out. With a little better coaching to help develop a quicker release, the kid could have been serviceable.


Sure he had a weak psyche, but a good coach knows how to match the offense aw to the player's skills.


Hell they started last season doing the same thing. Thankfully somebody noticed SW was definitely not NM and called a bit different game. It should have worked for JJ6 also, but he was mentally gone by then.




I wonder which NFL team picked up JJ6's contract.
