You might be surprised....just sayin.

Assuming the season plays out like I think it will, I don't see how they keep him around with one, MAYBE 2 wins.  I hope you're right.

Maybe I'm being naively hopeful, like I was leading up to each game of Mississippi State, Arkansas, and Ole Miss, but I think logic dictates that he gets showed the road.

You just don't lose to both Mississippi schools and keep your job. You certainly don't lose to those plus Vanderbilt (if that happens). And you sure as shit don't go 0-8 in the SEC and live to talk about it.

I can't argue that. The problem is that many times PTB at Auburn have dicked around too much in the past dealing with the athletic department. This alone is the main reason why so many are fearing the worse and that nothing will be done to fix the problems we all see. So when GF, or anyone, hints they may know something, I perk up for some sort of hope. That's how bad it is.

and also lose to Alabama A&M...which may very well happen.

Let's not get carried away. UT Martin pushed the 08 team around but they still won. I think SEC caliber players can handle SWAC players. Auburn 24, AA&M 17

Don't have any insider info.  However, it doesn't mean you can't deduce things.

1. I find it interesting we haven't heard from Jay, publicly. As in a vote of confidence for Chizik.
2. Dye was very downtrodden when I heard him speak yesterday.  Some of the things he didn't say spoke volumes to me.
3. If we get skullfucked like I know we will to UGA and especially bammer, he won't be back.  If he is able to somehow keep the game reasonable at bammer, then he might...might be back.

Like Chizad said, he goes 0-fer in the SEC, I don't think he comes back.

If he is able to pull out a win over Vandy, New Mexico, bamaA&M and at least upset 1 of the remaining 3 all bets are off.  Don't hold your breath on that happening though.

I think this is his nail game this weekend.  Win it and he might have some hope.

Agree, especially if it's UGA or Bama.

If that were the case? I'd actually be ok with them keeping him around. It would mean that he was able to figure out what the fuck is plaguing this team with the quickness and fixed that shit.

That being said, Georgia just got skull fucked by USCe, and doesn't really have a good win on their resume yet, so even that may not be enough...

But like you said, I am by no means holding my breath for that to happen.

I thought the vote of confidence was the sign of a change to come usually. To me, that would signal the end is nigh.

Sometimes.  But usually the vote of confidence is just that.  You put that out there and and then fire him, you look like a rah-tard.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Seriously though. If Auburn's offense can play against Vandy, NMSU, and Alabama A&M they way they played the first half of last week, those are winnable games for sure.

Georgia and Alabama - not even gonna watch. Think I'll go fishing.
