I guess that I just appreciate someone making the effort, so I read what they post.

The most pathetic statistic I've ever heard came during the Finebaum show today.  Make it clear, I do not listen to the show at all.  I was listening to an NFL game on that station Sunday and today was the first time I have gotten into my truck since.  Station was already on.  When I heard Finebaum I reached immediately to turn the station, but as I did I heard his guest say "the Auburn coaching staff is badly misusing Stidham..."   So I hesitated.  

The guest, and I still don't know who he was but he wasn't a caller, said that against Southern Miss .... Southern Miss!...  Stidham attempted no passes between 10 and 50 yards.  ZERO.  Not using the middle of the field for any reason.  

Further, on every running play there was an extra tight end or blocking back in the formation.  On every passing play there were four wide.  (I don't know if this is true).  The guest said anyone could clearly see what was coming.  

It's pathetic.  I'm extremely disappointed with the growth curve for this offense and program.

Does it change the material fact that our offensive philosophy when it comes to passing is dink or bomb with nothing inbetween?  Whether the bomb is almost 50 or exactly 50 doesn’t invalidate the stupidity of this coaching staff or its failure to create a mid-range strategy.
