If the jolly fat bastard (the good one - not that greasy chode with the meat sweats out in Fayetteville) were real, who would you want him to leave under the tree to replace the crayon eating moron we have at the moment?

Answering "Gruden, Petrino, Kiffin, or Miles" will result in a Legatron 54 yard field goal kick square your gooch.

Show your work.

I think that’s the problem. Anyone we replace him with, are they really a step up?

I’m done with coaches with less than 2 or 3 years experience as a head coach.

So...  and this is in no way in order:

Jeff Brohm from Purdue
Kyle Wittingham from Utah
PJ Fleck from Minnesota
Derek Mason from Vandy
Willie Taggart from Oregon

None of those really thrill me, and I don’t know if they are a step up or not, but I think if we went after any of those guys, we’d have a realistic chance of getting.

Chip Kelly, Bob Stoops, or Petrino.  I’m ready for the field goal to my guch now.

Seriously though, with the football factory Smart is building at UGA and Saban looking like he’ll never leave, we have to swing for the fences. We need a winner or we will become Tennessee for the next 10 years.

Yes!!!  Tons of guys would be a step up.  What's the use in worrying about that when you look at what our current crayon muncher is doing with the shit load of talent we have right now?  Or the last 3-4 years for that matter.

Hell, I'd elevate Rodney Garner to HC if he'd just let Lindsey do his thing.

The guy I would take a serious look at is Pat Fitzgerald.  He's in his 12th year at the helm of Northwestern.  He's 42 and has a winning record at the Vanderbilt of the Big 10.  Runs a very innovative offense.

Just saw where Fitzgerald signed a 10 year extension.  But his salary is only $2 mil so maybe the buyout isn't too steep. Oh well, so much for that thought.  It might in fact be wise to look hard at a Stoops or Kelly who wouldn't have buyouts we'd have to eat along with the one we'd have to pay Coach Crayola.

That's some mighty fine corch spottin' Snags.
Fitzgerald is a good one.

I like Whittingham too.

Many other veteran coaches are dug in at a place and aren't likely to budge.

Dave Doerner is winning at NCState with pretty good talent. He's won everywhere he goes. Defensive guy I think.

Fleck is a strange one if you know his story. Almost cultlike in his ways but he's had success.

You’re right. I think I’m looking at it through the “who will jacobs hire” and the answer is, of course, not one coach listed in this thread.

Jacobs short list would be Matt Canada, Jeremy Pruitt, Todd Granthan, or Kodi Burns.

Sissy bitches. You keep the coach you have now whether want or not.

Gustavo at AU to stay. Why, you say?

Because you girly bitch and no amount to shit in program.

Jay Jacobs never be seen in same room with any no accounts like complaining here.

You will keep Gus long time. And like.

And that’s the dilemma. We either get Gus an extra year and hope we have a new AD by this time next season, or we have Jay make another hire and repeat the next 4 years of frustration.

Jarhead is starting up a campaign to hire Kodi Burns as the next HC at Auburn.

I say no! Let him go get a year at Arkansas state and then, yes. But, not until.

I would say Franklin, but after the way he left Vandy and the whole rape thing up there a few years back, nope. I think he is a helluva good coach, but don't want that associated with our program.
