Yes, we work almost as a parliamentary style government with a figurehead and laws set by the supreme court justices enforced by state law.
Much of the disdain about any legitimacy is but a sideshow.
And all of this time I thought that the legislative branch and the constitution set laws.

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
