Yes.   It is.  But not in the way you think.

No.  You cannot have any of my money.  No, the government cannot have any more to give to you.

I worked for it.  I made it.  It's mine.
Keep your money. What I want is the reestablishment taxes and tariffs on imports in this country. That way Mr. 1% won't be outsourcing his jobs to China for $.50 hour labor. In return this will create jobs in here, not over across the seas. That happens and we can get these stagnant wages moving again which would be a huge relief for the middle class. Lots of whom haven't seen a solid wage increase in the last 10 years or so.

I don't mean it that way.  I do think a lot of the 99% supports the 1% despite their protests.  That's all I meant.

You can do a number on the 1% if you refuse to buy their products or do business with them.  It would make life really hard and a pain in the ass, but that was also my point.  Our country doesn't really want to see what would happen if the 1% lost their wealth.
I agree the 1% doesn't need to lose their wealth but its long past time to riegn their ass back in a little.

Another interesting read on wealth distribution for those that have time.

Fucking this^^^

Went fishing last weekend.  Just pan fishing but I bought a couple of new poles.  The Crappie Slapper XT4000.  Was getting it tackled up and noticed "Made in China".  Really?  Srrsly?  Do we make anything here in this country anymore?

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

I'm sending in my resignation letter as your private dancer, unless you begin to pay me enough so that I can go fishing on the weekends.

Everyone takes it up that ass except the 1%.

Sure. That 47% that pays no income tax really gets fucked by the IRS.

I'd be interested to know whether that stat includes people who file a return reporting no tax owed, but then get audited and end up having taxes assessed at a later date.

Yeah. That's exactly why all jobs get outsourced. How about you mention unions making the cost of business off the charts.  Then it's either: outsource or fold up.

After its all said and done. Point to the village tinfoil hat wearer was that the middle class are the only ones getting truly fucked. The Rich have loopholes. The bottom 47% pay nothing.

So, you are saying income taxes paid by the bottom 47% is null? I find that hard to believe.

Blame to union bosses and not the union membership. Union members are only folks trying to make a better lives for themselves, outside of the wretched slavery conditions known as the southern workplace.

Where does that percentage come from?  I see stats which say that 46% and 51% of households in 2011 and 2009, respectively, didn't owe taxes, but I don't see any references which indicate it's the bottom 46% or 51% of households who didn't owe taxes.

That's total bullshit right there. What you mean to say is corporate profits won't be as high because they'll be forced to pay a living wage and bennies.

What you describe seems to be whats happened now that we moved to a "global economy." And it seemed to work pretty good the last 100 years old so.

we didn't outsource 100 years ago, however in the last 60 years yes. Since WWII, there has been a concerted effort to send good jobs overseas chasing cheap labor. I hope God damns all of those greedy fucking bastards to the lake of fire for eternity.

Good luck in the future because luck has everything to do with making it big.

The 1% are bailing US stocks and bonds while banks and the Federal Reserve are purchasing US stocks and bonds.

Quote
Studies have shown that the co-ops have consistently outperformed surrounding capitalist industry on all the usual measures, and while unemployment in Spain has hovered around 20% for many years, full employment has been maintained within the Federation. All this has been achieved with a level of internal democracy and concern for social justice undreamt of by most workers struggling under exploitative state systems, whether capitalist or authoritarian socialist.

Not surprisingly, international interest in the MCF has grown over the past 20 years, especially now that so many governments are unable to provide even for basic human needs food, shelter, education, healthcare, art and recreation — and are increasingly recognised as uninterested in doing so. (As anarchists have long pointed out, that is not what governments are for, after all.) There is a sizeable literature in several languages on Mondragon. Harvard business students study management within the Mondragon co-ops. Stanford law students learn about the legal obstacles to setting up such entities in the USA Enlightened Australian trade unionists consider whether using union funds to start “mini-Mondragons” for their unemployed members might be more effective than filling politicians’ pockets in the vain hope of slowing corporate job export to non-union, low-wage, third world countries. And some anarchists wonder if the MCF is a test, or even a vindication, of their ideas.
