I smell police brutality

I knew a cop once, we were real close. He died as a Mobile County sheriff's narcotics officer around 1975. He and his partner were ambushed near Big Creek lake chasing down two scumbags with marijuana possession. My cousin emptied his pistol killing one of the fuckers after he had been shot with buck shot. He died and the wax job on his face was terrible. Morticians back then had no imagination. Sheriff Tom Purvis and he didn't see eye to eye, so Purvis wasn't too upset. David Beck was my second cousin and a real badass in high school. Robert Stolz was his partner and neither survived. They made the mistake of not waiting on backup and it costs them both their lives and affected the rest of my family in a big way. Especially me because I idolized the man.

I have nothing but respect for law enforcement, due to this and other factors, and always help in anyway I can. It's kind of fun helping out with busts. It's exciting. David taught me quite a bit about respect for law enforcement and the job responsibilities that I almost when into law enforcement just so I could help others when they could not help themselves. It's a rewarding career and those in the uniform will always have my utmost respect and cooperation. I don't share this with many people but I have actually aided in capture of thieves.
