Why Alabama and Arkansas Most Likely Will Not Go to the SECCG

Even if Arkansas wins, we are not going to Atlanta.  Whether Bama or LSU goes depends on how far LSU falls after the loss.  If LSU only falls to #2 and stays ahead of us, they still go to the title game .  If LSU falls below Arkansas, then bama goes.
As an arkansas fan, we have to hope LSU falls below us, bama wins the SEC, and we get another shot at them in the BCSCG.  The only problem is if VT wins the ACC title game, the voters may try to leapfrog them over us just to keep it from being a bama-ark rematch.

So what you really need is for auburn AND Arkansas to win. Then you're golden.

In a three way tie, it matters where each is ranked in the BCS dumbfuck.
We will not be in theSECCGeven if we beat LSU. UFullofshit.

The tiebreaker is out there. anyone with basic reading comprehension can sort it out. You need to hire a tutor. You won't listen to me.

The BCS ranking are then 1. Alabama 2. Arkansas 3. LSU
Then Alabama loses to Georgia in the SEC Championship Game
Does the BCSCG take LSU and Arkansas in a rematch?

Here's the thing, and part of why Auburn fans are bitching to begin with.

All the Bama-loving voters are dying for a way to get Bama in the MNC game.

If this happens:
As an arkansas fan, we have to hope LSU falls below us, bama wins the SEC, and we get another shot at them in the BCSCG.  The only problem is if VT wins the ACC title game, the voters may try to leapfrog them over us just to keep it from being a bama-ark rematch.
I can't see them giving Arkansas another shot at Alabama. Then suddenly everyone will realize how stupid it is that a team had their shot and blew it (even though at least they lost on the road) for them to play again in a game that counts "this time".

ANOTHER reason this blows?

According to Tony Barnhart:

Quote
BCS handbook says conference only gets three if two non-champs are ranked No. 1 and No. 2 in final BCS standings.
So LSU would have to lose in SEC championship game to Georgia and still get into BCS title game with Alabama. Then the SEC could get three.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, that means we're not going to have an SEC team in the Sugar Bowl? All for this rematch? What the shit?

If Alabama beats AU and Ark beats LSU, Alabama would go to the SECCG, unless the voters moved Arkansas ahead of Alabama.  Then it would put Arkansas in the SECGM b/c it would be a three way tie and the tie breaker is their BCS ranking.

If they didn't and Alabama lost to UGA in the championship game and they are ranked like you posted.  Then it would be #1 against #2.  It could be Arkansas and LSU in that secnario, but if it goes down like that I see the voters  moving Okie State or VT ahead of LSU in that case to keep this shit from being a disaster and having a rematch for the BCS.

Exactly what I was saying.

They'll make exceptions for Bama. Not for anyone else.

If you get your wish that AU and Hogs win, then it would be Hogs in the SECCG based on head-to-head over LSU.  bama would be out of the picture with two losses.

Arkies only hopes to get to SECCG:

1. as stated above, AU and Ark win...

2. Ark beats LSU but LSU only falls to 2 and Ark jumps bama and goes to 1.

if all 3 teams are within 5 spots then the lowest bcs ranked team is out and then it would be head to head with top 2...Im for whatever scenario leaves the turds out! I like the one that has AU winning best!

I think the voters would vote okie st back up instead of UA/ARK rematch..so many people outside of SEC country are just vomiting at the thought of an all SEC NC, that they will take any legitimate road they can to avoid it....what they need to do is realize that the SEC is king and everyone else can stay in the backseat...

I think LSU may be in the NC game no matter what happens....They have a perfect score of 1.000 in rankings...not sure if that has ever been done this late in the season, they would have to lose a lot of top votes to drop out...its almost assured a lsu/turd rematch....lets hope AU can find a rabbits foot this weekend and fvck it up for them!

I was thinking of a more clusterfucked situation but yes, this would be correct since both the Hogs and Tiggers would have one loss. I'd rather see the Hogs getting that bid than the coonasses or bammer cousin grinders.
