Shitting the bed, Part Deaux

No.  No, they're not.

See 2004.

In 2004, the voters thought Oklahoma was better than Auburn.  The voters were wrong.

Completely different than this year.  The voters (may - this shit hasn't even played out yet) think Alabama is the 2nd best team in the country after Oklahoma State shat the bed.

In fact, leaving Alabama out based on an undefined reason would be closer to 2004 than putting them in.

Other factors to considers:

Oklahoma went even though they got blown out 35-7 in their conference championship game.  The voters could have easily said, "Well, Oklahoma isn't deserving of playing in the BCSCG because they lost to Kansas State and didn't win their conference."  They could have voted them some arbitrary number like #15 just to keep them out.  But they didn't.  They voted them where they thought they belonged, and the computers put them in.  The BCS did what it claims it's suppose to do.

Same thing with Nebraska in 2001.

We can all say we know Alabama doesn't deserve another shot; however, when other teams lose late in the season while at the same time voters are saying Alabama is the actual #2 team in the country, it's hard to have a reason to keep them out.

You want to be the fly in the ointment?  You root for Mississippi State this weekend.  Arkansas struggled against Vanderbilt and Ole Miss.  Miss State will hopefully still be fighting for a bowl berth.

If Miss State upsets Arkansas, it will hurt Bama's computer numbers.  Also, Penn State should lose to Ohio State and Wisconsin.

If LSU then beats Arkansas, Alabama won't have a meaningful win on their schedule.

I know it's petty, but sorry.  I really don't want to watch my arch-rival back into the national championship game and win it.
Arkansas beating the brakes off of MSU 31-10. Penn State up on OSU by 6 with 7 minutes left in the 4th.

To add to that, Clemson is getting waxed by NC State 37-6. Not sure how the fuck that is happening, I figured it would be the other way around.

Oregon and Alabama have the same 1 loss to LSU.

Oregon lost the very first game of the season.

Bama lost two weeks ago.

If you're going to apply the "losing late" theorem, then Oregon goes before Bama does. And Oregon shouldn't go either.

I'm not only applying the "losing late" theorem.  I'm adding them all in together.  I'm just expecting the voters to continue doing what they do.

And they'd be wrong to put bammer in a rematch game with LSU.  You finally figured out "the logic".

Apparently Oregon's shitting the bed too...

Were losing 14-0 with under 6 minutes left in the half.

Just finally scored.

21-7 USC leads at half.

Oklahoma losing to Baylor at the half 17-10.

If Oklahoma and Oregon both lose, I can't wait to see what argument you pull out of your ass as to why Alabama should be kept out of the BCSNCG if Bama were to win out.

Now 38 to 14.  The CFB World is bowing to bammer's greatness.

As I posted that, Oregon scored, but missed the 2 pt attempt.  38-20 now.

This could be unprecedented territory.   It's possible that tomorrow's BCS standings will have 3 SECW teams in the top 3 spots.  At the very least 3 of the top 5 will be SECW teams if USC holds on.

I can't really remember ever seeing a late season implosion in the top 10 of the BCS such as we might see tonight. Sure, you get a team or two that usually gets upset. But somehow, Iowa State has opened up some alternate dimension in the football universe.

The only argument that matters.  You fuckers lost at home to LSU, you fuckers didn't even win your division much less the conference.  If you can't claim a conference championship, why the fuck should you be able to claim a national championship?

Go fuck a goat.  ($1 to Kaos)

This USC/Oregon game is pretty entertaining.  USC is still LOADED with talent.  So much so that Lane Kiffen really can't fuck it up.

I don't even know why I'm watching the end of the Oregon-USC game.  The stars are aligned for Alabama to get a rematch.

Oregon loses.

Oklahoma down by 14 with 8 minutes left.

Clemson got killed.

Looks like Arky will be the new #3.
