Same guy who told me Stoops had agreed to a deal with ND (seemingly incorrect) also said something was coming down regarding LSU recruiting questions.

Veracity? I dunno.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

I heard they self-reported some illegal contact between an assistant coach and a player that did not play this year to the SEC.

Seems kind of small. Of course, Birmingham radio (JOX) was all over it because Bammers are always excited to point out others' faults.

I guess I'm just behind. Spent a week in NYC where nobody cares and only started getting info again Monday.

I was happier not thinking about it.

K, I'm wondering if the news about Stoops got out prematurely (much like Miles to Michigan via Herbstreit) and will now die a slow death. Has happened before.

After the Reuben Randle recruitment last yr, I wouldnt put anything past LSU. Some shady dealings indeed.

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.' That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.'

I'm happier there than just about anywhere.  Love the whole thing.  The pace, the crowd, the noise.

Standing in lines at stores and speaking jibberish to the counter help is a pain in the ass.  I like to know what they're saying.

I love New York.  Actually I love Boston and Chicago too.  If my wife wasn't allergic to the cold (and so rooted in Texas), I would live up there.  Maybe only a couple years, because I would want to get back down south (Texas included for this example), but I do love it there.

K, how did the trip go in regards to the anniversary stuff?

I read on an LSU board that they are certain it started with our own Deangelo Benton.

I'm not sure if we can get in trouble if their coach tried to instigate an illegal recruiting practice with one of our recruits.

I haven't heard any real reports other than that LSU has self reported something.

Benton is such a high character and morals guy that he couldn't be around people who cheated.  So, he left LSU and transferred to a school where the Creed is everything.

I believe..that's what happened.

The coach somehow washed the corndog smell out.  The NCAA said they weren't having any of that shit.
