Title: Eff Georgia Week/Game Thread
Post by: The Six on September 29, 2020, 09:10:31 AM
Post your reasons for hating the Dawgs.

Mine include:
- Having a gorgeous campus that they trash when tailgaiting (assuming that's not allowed with the COVIDs now, but still)
- Barking at opposing fans as they walk by
- Sense of superiority because they win games against us but have no MNCs and few SECCs to show for it
- All the Cam hate in 2010
- Aaron Murray

1992 - them falling down on the final play of the game, up 14-10, and with Auburn inside their 2 yard line.  They killed the clock, and I get it's legal, but it pisses me off.  It's also why, when Tommy Tuberville did it to them in 2001, and their complaining came, I hated them even more.

1994 - UGA ends the streak, and their dumbass lineman hops up onto the stage that Aubie and the micman use, and starts grabbing his crotch and flipping off the students.

1995 - Yeah, we beat them, but it was about 15 degrees, and I hate them for that weather.  And then their fans went down onto the field to dig up the hedges, which were coming out for the olympics.  I've never had to dodge people with wheelbarrows while leaving a stadium before.  Fuck them.

1996 - Fuck you, and your prevent offense, Terry Bowden

2004 - going into that game, Auburn was #3, and all we heard from the talking heads at ESPN was that Auburn really needed a statement win.  Well, we got it, and all that happened was...  nothing.  I'm sure ESPN didn't expect us to thrash the bulldogs like we did, UGA was 8 at the time.  Fuck UGA and fuck ESPN.

And for all the reasons you said.

FUGA.

I've been around a long time.  I've been to countless AU games all the way back to, as a kid, watching Pat Sullivan launch over the shoulder bombs to Terry Beasley.  I believe I've missed two AU/FUGA games at JHS in my lifetime, which were the hose-em-down game, and 2012 after I had earlier walked out of the stadium in utter disgust when it became painfully obvious against Texas A&M that this team had quit.  And I'm glad I missed both.

Went to Athens once as a student and didn't set foot back in that sewage plant until 2015.  FUGA fans and that rivalry were always some of my favorites. Always had a great time with their fans and the two schools seemed to be so similar, and as the record in the series indicates, so evenly matched.  But something started turning with their fan base about a decade or more ago.  I'm not naïve enough not to realize that it doesn't matter what fan base you're exposed to, you'll always come across those belligerent, obnoxious few that put a bad taste in your mouth and seem to ruin it for everybody.  If you let the few bad apples affect your perspective on the fan base as a whole, then you'd turn your back on every LSU fan.

But in recent years, relatively speaking, the incidents with FUGA fan have increased 10 fold.  Just a few quick hitters that come to mind:

Just before they reconfigured the gates on the press box side, you had to go around a little cattle herding ramp to get in the stadium.  FUGA fan was standing above everyone at the top of the ramp, cussing and taking swings at the people below.  Anyone and everyone in AU colors.

Trip to Athens in 2015.  Walking around the town on game day, I had 3 separate incidents where FUGA fan stepped out and directed a hearty, "Fuck Auburn" in my face. One of them by a girl. My snappy and somewhat witty rebuttal of , "Go fuck yourself" was always met with barking. Since all 3 incidents involved the same "Fuck Auburn", I had to assume there was some sort of memo going around prior to the game among FUGA fans.

Same trip, I was sitting by myself at the game, surrounded by FUGA fan.  The teams are warming up and the announcer comes on the give the starting line ups for both teams.  He starts with Auburn and the old man right in front of me stands up and holds two birdie fingers up the entire time.  Calm down, Chester, it's just the starting line ups.

During that game, which we lost badly, every time FUGA scored, these two guys in the next section, but same row, would jump up, run to the aisle  (I had the aisle seat) and scream all kinds of expletives my way.  Unfortunately, FUGA scored often.  I left early and was rained upon with liquid refreshment and other assorted condiments.

Last year, I parked the Ford F-150 and started walking to a tailgate. Just up ahead of me is a young couple walking in the same direction.  The girl had AU stuff on and the guy had a Florida shirt on.  Up ahead of them was FUGA fan, toting a half empty 12 pack carton at 9:30 in the morning.  He turns and says something to the couple about that ugly ass Florida shirt the guy had on.  They kind of laughed it off thinking it was just some funny back and forth, until FUGA fan grabbed his crotch and in classic Mr. T fashion said, "Hey girl, why don't you ditch that guy and come party with a real man."  I was just about caught up with them and they looked at me like, "Is he serious?"  I just said, "Yeah he is.  If you don't understand FUGA fan by now, God help you."

I think most here will agree it's the overall sense of superiority FUGA fan exudes when they haven't accomplished jack fucking shit in 40 years, that puts prickles in our Underoos. It's FUGA week.  I hate FUGA.

I have always hated Georgia. Have more family members that went to Georgia than bama, by far. Never have liked them. (Georgia in general. Not meaning my family)Actually got into a scuffle with one but it didn’t last long. He hit me in the face with a shaker and barked. I hit him in the face with my fist.

I haven’t been to nearly as many as you but I was at the hosing, although I walked out mad before they hosed them. I also was leaving when thugs laid down in the south end zone iirc.

i just hate them. Fuck ‘em. Fuck them all. They cannot wear our jock strap concerning overall football tradition, imo. I have much more respect for Bama, which isn’t saying much. But, it’s true.

But I can understand why a pussy would be intimidated by the Georgia guy standing at the top of the ramp taking swings at targets he knew were fags.

Listen to Zac Blackerby's Locked on Auburn pod - he alluded to the Locked on Bulldogs group not being high on Bo Nix and Auburn. I flipped over to that to tune in and boy they are some delusional homers of the first right.

"Kentucky is by far the better team."

"Bo Nix is bad. The offense is bad. Our defensive line will eat them up."

I hope we can go in there and shut those yappers down in a swift and angry way.

1)  Watching those ass clowns tear up the logo at midfield...made just a little better getting to watch them get hosed down.
2)  Sitting right in front of the most obnoxious of the obnoxious that literally barked in my ear for the first full half.  Luckily he had no reason to bark after that and left once they were down 38-7
3)  Watching David Greene throw that td pass at the end of the 2002 game.
4)  The bammer light attitude shown by the fans, coaches and players.

And finally...

The South's Oldest Rivalry has FUGA leading the overall series 60-56-8.  The hardest thing to swallow, besides my massive man-meat, is Gus being 2-6 against them with several games being ones we should have taken full advantage of.

This will be a big test for Morris.  Hope he's up to it.

In 2017, when we throttled the Mutts something like 41-17, I'd still like to know if Gus was behind that or if Chip Lindsey was pushing the buttons.  If you recall, our offense had them so off balance, they had no clue what was coming next.  It wasn't trick plays or triple whirly bird crappery.  It was innovative play calling that used all the weapons.  It also helped that Carry On was at the top of his game.

The point being, there's no way we line up and whip FUGA in the trenches.  Morris needs to do exactly what his history has shown, using the backs and TE's in the passing game and keeping them off balance.

Why I hate FUCK GEORGIA!!!

1.  They bark at opposing fans.

2.  That stupid ass retarded dog bit Jerraud Powers.

3.  That stupid ass retarded dog is retarded because they keep inbreeding the little fucks.  And then want to whine and cry when they die from complications of being inbred.  You would be hard pressed to find another person on the globe who loves dogs more than me, but UGA, nope, fuck him and may he get hit by the team bus.

4.  They are still bitching about Nick Fairley being dirty.

5.  The way they hated on Cam.

6.  The way they think they are the best team on Earth and feel entitled and haven't won shit in 40's years.

7.  That group of twatty mommy parts with their paw prints painted on their cheeks, barking and then screaming at the camera "Auburn Sucks while shaking their pompoms in 2005.

8.  Watching the same group of twatty mommy parts shedding tears as Devin Aromashodu took a 4th and 13 pass and turned it into a 63 yard gain to put the dagger in FuckUga's heart!

9.  Kirby Smart.  Should be self explanatory.

10. They aren't us.  They won't ever be us.  They only wish they could be us.

11. FUCK GEORGIA!!!

Great list, except I believe it was Robert Baker that the stupid ass retarded dog bit.  On another note, exactly what is a twatty mommy part?  Would you happen to have any pictures of said twatty mommy part (Preferably hairless) that you could PM me for reference?  That'd be great.
Drug dog UGA tried to bite Baker.  Drug dogs' inbred son actually bit Powers on the hand.

Serious question. And I’m not trying to gloat in this misery. But why did any of you think this would go any differently? Have you been watching a different program since 2014?? Did y’all miss the bowl - which Morris was supposedly advising on where pj fleck absolutely out coached Gus  and outmotivated his team full of 1-2 star players.

This is totally an expected outcome. Especially since it’s Ga. They own Gus. The only sliver of hope I could have seen possibly was that Ga looked like ass for one half against Arkansas.

I’ve got news for auburn fans as a whole. As long as this guy is the head coach - this is what you’re gonna get. Until that day comes where he isn’t? Im tuning out. No fan base should have to endure this kind of erratic dysfunctional bumfuckery that this guy has instilled. But at the same time - our fan base overwhelming seems to be ok with it. Year after year. Its HOW they lose more than anything. And it’s 100% a trend with this clown. Do yourselves a favor and find something far more productive to do.

I expect the coming weeks will be filled with excuses, opt outs, and transfer notices. For real - if you are top flight QB, why would you come to Auburn? You will not be coached out of what you already know. Bo Nix looks like a senior in high school still. The O-Line is just not there. The backs and receivers know two things and neither works. It's pitiful.

Defensively, we play aggressively and recklessly. That's not a good combination. Steele is overpaid.

But nothing will change for this year. It is what it is. Coaching change in 2022 is the earliest we see any movement on Gus and they probably can't afford it then and won't get anyone worth a rip anyway.

I guess we'll always have 2010...

You say Bo looks like a senior in high school and then say the O-line is just not there. What is a passing QB supposed to do when an Oline is just not there?
We said the same thing about Stidham when the pressure was too consistent. Looks like an Oline problem more so than qb.

Steele lost two really good DL. I thought we might have some guys ready to step in. I guess not.
But bottom line is Gus needs to go.

Auburn, LSU, Fla, Ga, Bama - all get top flight classes year in and year out, Top 10 per all the services....consistently....the difference in Aub and those others? They reload, next man up, they develop kids.

As much as I would love to use the excuse of Derrick and Marlon being gone (we had them a year longer than we should've really), we looked like ass in many games during their 4 years too including their last game. Other than Cam and Nick masking Gus' flaws and making him look good, he has regressed every QB that has stepped on campus. And apparently we don't recruit and develop OL very well either now.

Ga lost a ton of linemen to the NFL and graduation as well. You couldn't tell. They have a friggin 4th string walk on at QB behind a very young, green line. We have a 5 star at the same position. if coaches like PJ Fleck and Gary Patterson outperform with what they have better than anyone the last 2 decades, then Gus Malzahn and Jimbo Fisher do just the opposite in being the 2 that SQUANDER the most talent in D1.

We go through this same drill, this same song and dance on facebook, message boards, etc every damn year. Excuses, justification, analysis - whatever you wanna call it. Trying to wade through the dysfunctional mess of a program we have with this guy. The rollercoaster ride of ugly losses and looking more like Southern Miss some games than the roster full of blue chippers that they really are....But when you have 5-6 teams in the conference that are getting roughly the same caliber of players and 2 of them consistently are woefully underperforming compared to the other 4? Thats a leadership issue. Its systemic. Thats on Gus and Jimbo. Aggie fans should be even more up in arms if were being honest.

Key questions...WHY is the OL that bad? Why do QBs regress? Why has the RB position gone to the shitter? The buck stops with the head man. Kirby is a buttcutted visor wearing chump....but, he replaced an entire OL and trotted a 5'10 walk on QB out there somehow someway. And whipped our damned asses. It's pitiful. What Buzz said is really a microcosm of the Gus tenure - its year 8...and we've been rebuilding that line for almost 4 years now.....thats some of the most retarded skewed logic that I can't even get my head wrapped around....and its who he is. As K has said before - he's in over his head...hes sometimes learning on the job (and most of the time he's not learning at all), and he's every bit the lower level D2/ high school coach we were told he was.

That was a pathetic, inexcusable display of football ineptitude by every unit in a white jersey.

I know this is a bizzaro year: no spring practice, limited fall practice, opt-outs.  But everyone else is dealing with this shit, too.  And better than us, apparently.

I hated the Morriss hire, but I expect more out of a Steele unit.  He is not, despite someone's assertion, overpaid.  The man is good and worth every dime since he's basically the reason we have any wins in the past 4 years or so.  Still, no excuse for the clownfuckery we saw Saturday.

Gus/Morriss are taking our already relatively anemic offense and holding a Breaking Bad-style magnet up to suck all the last vestiges of any iron out of our players.

Shit. Fuck. Asterisk.

Being very serious, I liked the Morris hire. I thought it would be close to gus’ system and he’d leave him alone.

Regardless, I was wrong. Also about sticking up for Gus so long. I like the guy as a man. He’s a high character guy by all accounts. But he is no SEC hc and I’m the last to come to the realization on here, I realize. This is ironic because the rest of you don’t the first thing about college football.

The only thing I would say in Steele's defense is he can't do anything about 320 pound linemen getting obliterated on every play.  He could call all the defensive schemes he wanted, but if they can just ram it down your throat like a porn star, not much you can do.  Maybe recruit better.  Novel idea.  We lost Derrick and Marlon.  They had 5-7 Derrick and Marlons.

It's pretty much all been said, but I'm gonna' add my .02.  This was a team effort.

Kicking: Our 6'5" kicker can nail em' from 60 yards, but he can't get a kickoff to the end zone.

Punting:  What's the attraction to Australian punters who consistently "boom" it 32.6 yards?

Offensive Line: Abused.  I kept complaining about our "best" lineman, Brodalicious Hamm, getting his shit pushed in every way possible.  They finally replaced him.

Defensive Line: Crushed.  Manhandled. Beaten down.

Coaching:  We pretty much all thought Morris would have to be the difference to keep them off balance.  He wasn't.  Every time we put pressure on Bennett, he had a back or tight end right there in the middle of the field to bail him out.  Every single time they put pressure on Nix, he ran for his life.  Not once did he have a go to guy to get him out of trouble.  Another observation....does anyone remember a single running play the entire second half?  I'm not sure we didn't pass every down.  I realize we were down 3 scores, but you have to at least try a few runs to keep them honest.

As for Nix, I give him a pass on this one.  Yes, he's got things to work on.  Kentucky was a prime example of what he can do with a little time and at least some semblance of a running game.  Georgia was a prime example of what every QB in the nation looks like with zero blocking, zero running game and piss poor play calling.

The most disturbing thing was how badly we got manhandled on both sides of the line.  I like to think it all begins and ends with the long snapper.  It does.  But a close second is how you handle yourself in the trenches.  This was a mismatch from the opening bell.  The ref should have stopped it.  You guys alluded to it earlier.  Auburn has recruited like ass in the trenches, both sides, for years. Gus, this is not "We'll look at the film and get better".  This is your team getting that ass physically whipped.  There's no correcting that.

I'm still going to reserve judgment on that.  Arky has been epically bad for several years, yes, under Morris.  But it's so hard to know where a QB is when he's constantly running for his life and is given no safety valve to fall back on when in trouble.

It wasn't often, but there were some times we put legit pressure on Bennett.  Each and every time there was someone waiting to bail him out.  No such thing in Morris' arsenal.  Again, I'm seriously trying to remember us with a rushing attempt in the second half.  Maybe a QB run.  Oh wait, wasn't it the 2nd half that we got first and goal from the 7 and the first two play calls were QB keeper to the right, then QB keeper to the left?  Aaahhh....I had forgotten about that magical moment.

I'll just say against UK, we matched up well gave him time.  He was confident, accurate and led the team in rushing.  Against UGA, he was in desperation mode from word go and I don't think I am off base in saying Bo looked pissed off as hell most of that game.  Don't know if it was at Morris, the line, the receivers or what.  I did see him giving Seth the business one time.

There's no correcting that.
ill say this, and its just what I read from a few others like Justin Ferguson - Hamm was injured damn near the entire game and was kept in there. The injury was also why they took him out eventually. So as bad as he looked, that was probably a lot of the reason why. But why would any coach in his right mind keep a gimp player in that is struggling that badly? Oh, I know the answer.

As to your last statement - perhaps it can be the beginning of the end. Maybe, just maybe for the first time in Gus's tenure, Auburn is actually starting to lag behind in talent - at least in the trenches. He can't keep an OC....has to hire his buddy to take the job so he doesn't wanna go batshit crazy trying to snatch the laminate play sheet from him, has to pay a quality DC a buzlillion a year to halfway keep the team competitive, and recruiting is starting to tail off where it matters. Many would say that's some foundation crumbling....His buyout is around 17 million come jan 1 y'all...just saying...

He looked like a Morriss-coached QB from the last couple of years at Arky.  He will regress under this "tutelage."  It will be bad.
Yup, but he's WaffleHouseboy's butt buddy so.....

Could be the Gus effect, too, because not one qb has gotten better their second year under Gus.
Nick Marshall is holding on line 2 for you.

If those fuckers would have ran the whirley bird play that shit would have worked.  Any old coach should have seen that if I did.

The white zone is for the immediate loading and unloading of passengers only.  There is no stopping in a red zone.

Walk away.  It's easier than you think and it doesn't hurt at all.
Getting there.  Maybe I am there.  I stopped watching the game in the 3rd quarter and started surfing the webs on my phone.  I don't plan on tuning in this weekend either.  I will look at a box score, maybe.  If the fans stop watching and stop buying tickets, then shit will change.  As long as their bottom line isn't affected, then more of the same.

Since I am in agreement with K, I must say.........GET THE HELL OFF MY LAWN! DAMN YOU CLOUD FOR BLOCKING THE SUN!!

I can tell you we play The fighting Muschamps.  I have no clue where or at what time.  Good thing Bow season starts this week and I still have some work to do around the farm to get ready for this season.  I can now occupy my Saturday's being alone in nature.

In other news, FUGA just got a commitment from a 6'7 315 Five Star Offensive Lineman.  That's only news because they keep reloading with beasts on both sides of the line and we keep signing 3* kids who "camped well".
