Title: The Magic Murder Kingdom
Post by: Snaggletiger on June 12, 2016, 08:52:40 AM
Isn't Orlando supposed to be the ultimate family vacation fun destination? Might want to hold off on that trip you have booked.  On Friday night after a concert, Christina Grimmie, who was a finalist on "The Voice" a couple of years ago, is shot in the head while signing autographs.  Then last night, or early this morning, someone goes into teh gay club and starts shooting. Last count was 20 dead and over 40 wounded.

Gay club? Oh boy. Can't wait to hear the media and left wing politicians start up on their right wing and gun rhetoric.

Shooter is/was Muslim.  U.S. born with Afghani parents.  Kudos to the police and SWAT team for making the decision to storm the building.  He'd had hostages for several hours.

It's the destruction of western civilization. It's over in Europe and it's happening here now.  I for one cannot comprehend how the LGBTQ community can support the left while they are empowering a war machine that has executed gays since its existence.

5 minutes is how long it took the President of the United States to remind us how easy it is to get a weapon to kill people with, and that we should do something about it. No mention of Islamic terrorist.

Yes, the guns are the problems.

Enjoy while you have it. I'm not going to steer this thread away from what it should be about....Islamic Terrorist and our countries inability to deal with the issue.... But I do want to leave this here since you mention it.

There is a strong push that will eventually win. In my life, I will see a police state that does not have members of the police force who will have what it takes to deal with a man who is willing to kill and die for his beliefs. We don't recruit military members anymore. We don't recruit or encourage alpha males. We instead are looking to the land of academia to deal with law enforcement because we don't want to see a military style police.  But I can tell you, it takes more than most people can imagine to run into a building where your demise could be around the corner to deal with an active shooter.  The kind of man that has that in his bones, we don't want anymore. We want the out of shape, soft spoken thinker to deal with all of our problems. Unfortunately, that guy is going to get his ass kicked or killed, along with anyone he's trying to help, when Mr. Don't give a fuck is ready to kill and isn't capable of reason.

And ISIS is taking credit for the attack.

Chizzy claims that he doesn't support the left, yet he loves johnson. So, it's not ALL of you people.

Obviously, the loss of life and injuries are the worst part. But second to that is the apparent hesitancy to call it like it is. What other "investigating" needs to be done when you have a young Muslim man committing mass murder? Doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out it's terrorism.

But they will continue to mostly blame the guns. I have no idea why he didn't choose explosives but I would think that more gun control helps terrorists.

Israelites used to say the same thing when they would fall into captivity. The answer is "Yes, you have abandoned a love for God for the love of this life" just like it was then. Circle of life, man. Nothing new under the sun. When America goes, it may or may not be the end of the entire show. I think it may just be another one biting the dust like the Romans, the Babylonians, and so on.

From what I've read, the FBI zeroed onto this dude twice but closed both cases. I want to know more about that. Who closed these investigations and for what reason? Was there pressure from someone higher to do so? Something was there which triggered a flag on this guy and for some reason it was ignored. 50 people lay dead due to this bumbling incompetence.

Fuck a monkey. Really?

What good will the ban do?  At least it till keep MORE of these lunatic motherfucks from pouring into the country.  It will give us the opportunity to deal with what's already here and prevent a motherfucking coup by immigration.  It will give our investigative bodies more time to handle what is already here instead of having to fight against a surge of potential new threats.

Boy that trump is so dumb.

I saw the interview with the FBI guy.  In both cases, he said they did their due diligence and interviewed witnesses, did background checks, interviewed him twice, put him under surveillance, but there just wasn't enough to keep going.

You're military.  I'm not even pretending to tell you something you don't already know.  But the thing is for me, with terrorism, how in the hell do you police everybody?  They're the ultimate cowards.  Attacking defenseless people with no warning.  I've said this before. If someone wanted to load a Cesna with explosives and take off from some backwoods airport and crash it 5 minutes later into a football stadium packed with 75,000 plus people...how do you stop that?  Virtually impossible unless you get a tip or stumble across something.

This was the worst mass shooting in American history.  Think about that.  Trump is saying "I told you so" and Obama is saying "If he didn't have an assault rifle...".  Screw both of you.  If he couldn't get an assault rifle.....you ever heard of a car bomb in Baghdad?

I have no clue what the answer is.

Was listening to Mike & Mike this morning and Greenberg said something that hit home with me.  Paraphrasing..he said he hopes a day will come where we're actually shocked again by this kind of thing.

He's right.  It seems that every 3-4 months we get some tragedy like Orlando. Whether it's 2 teenagers trying to blow everyone away at their High School or some guy taking a gun to an elementary school and executing kids or the San Bernadino shootings or Paris or a black Carolina church or a movie theater...and now Orlando....

You see this unthinkable, senseless tragedy occur and really just chalk up another one and wonder when and where the next one will be.

The coward went to the gun shop 3 times shortly before the massacre.  He bought a Sig Sauer .223 Assault Rifle and a Glock 17.  After reading up on that assault rifle, I can easily see how dozens were killed pretty quick.  Question for the gun enthusiasts:

I'm a gun owner myself.  Used to do a lot of hunting years ago and owned everything from a .22 to a 7 mm.  I fully believe in our right to bear arms...bear arms sounds like we're going to war....own guns.  And I also fully believe that if guns were taken away, guys like this would simply do what his cowardly brethren (And let's not forget that we have our own collection of cooks here in America) in the Middle East do on a daily basis.  Fill a car with explosives and blow it up in a crowded place.  Or strap them to his own body and press the button and look for his 72 virgins.

But, I'm honestly starting to question the reason that weapons like this are readily available to the public.  Especially someone that's been under FBI investigation not once, but twice.  I understand owning guns for hunting, skeet shooting, recreational shooting and obviously, protection.  But what's the purpose of the average citizen owning assault rifles?  Is it just a rush to shoot them?  Schoolify me on the subject.

Because your right to bear arms is to protect the citizens from a tyrannical government.  If and when the government decides to trash the constitution and overthrow our republic, you will be glad that you had access to these types of weapons.

You can buy a Glock that holds 15 rounds.  You can kill just as many people with two of those as you can with a 30 round semi automatic rifle.  It is not the gun that kills people.

BTW, I don't own a single gun.  Just believe in everyone's rights to do so.

Because the question becomes "who gets to say".

Do you want Hillary's wrinkled whore ass deciding which weapons are fine and which aren't?  Who then?  And if that person can decide which guns, can't they also decide which cars it's ok to drive? Which stores are ok to shop? Which church you need to attend?

Just a door that shouldn't be opened.

Government?  Get the fuck out.

Pave my roads, maintain the military, enforce laws designed to keep us from killing, raping and stealing, make sure we have fire and police departments.  Otherwise? Go home.

Just a couple of things because I'm weird and these things perturb me:

- assault rifle has been purposely given a bad connotation for political reasons. All it is is a gun that is semi in nature (one trigger pull, one bullet fired)  and rifled.

- AR as in "AR15 .223" like the one used - does NOT stand for assault rifle. It's is armalite rifle.

- assault "weapon" is an invented term by anti gun lobbyists and legislators circa 1994 with clintons awb. It expired during bushs term and they (Feinstein and her Ilk) have been trying to pass another ever since. The 94 bill did nothing good statistically.

And to a point, all weapons when used wrongly are assault weapons.   Here in Tejas, we have a lot of folks carrying weapons. They have gun free zones here that are not enforceable, (Stores, restaurants and such) I can almost guess that  if I am in a place and I see 10 people at least 4 are carrying. ( I know one is)

It's nice living in a part of the country where concealed carry is not frowned upon. They tend to be responsible people. It's the open carry idiots that give gun owners a bad name. No reason a redneck needs to go into an eating establishment and place an Ak on the table fully loaded. It's purely a head issue they have. Concealed is safe and gets the job done.

I get the whole "Guns don't kill people..." argument.  Agree with it.  And I'll take my chances with our government not overthrowing the republic.  That ain't happening.  I may eventually move to a Caribbean island when idiot policies like Obama Care hit too hard or the guilt from my white privilege becomes too much for me to bear.  But there will never be a time when I'm taking my family and my guns and heading to the woods to avoid getting kilt by my own police or military.  Not gonna' waste one minute of time worrying or even thinking about it.

For the record, a .30-06 scares me as much or more than an AR-15.  A man ready to kill, with a plan, behind a scoped .30-06 is terrifying thought.  Asshole in a crowded room of people not willing to fight between mag changes is easy pickings, no doubt. But he could have did the same amount of killing with ANY firearm in those circumstances.

One person, trained and armed in that crowd could have prevented most/some of the killing.

All that dumbass is doing is giving a mental person who can't purchase that type of weapon the means to get his hands on one and kill a bunch of people. I'm willing to bet that less than 10% of open carry morons have any training on weapon retention.

Carry your weapon. Train with your weapon. But don't show the crazy gun wielding killer your weapon until you have to do it. He won't be expecting it, you have the upper hand. BUT BUT BUT, when you hear sirens you better have already handled business or be willing to throw your gun down and lay down. Because you don't want to be the guy holding the gun in a public place when 20 officers are responding to active shooter.  They aren't going to ask questions, they aren't going to be reasonable and you will likely be considered the threat.  So gun enthusiast be aware of that.

If memory serves during training (MOUT) Military operations in urban terrain, that if we didn't drop our target within the first 10 to 15 seconds our likely hood of survival decreased greatly. So the moral of the story either hit your target or become one.

In the end, I'll to defer to you on this but please to be explaining.  In particular, the "any firearm" statement.  Yes, it was obvious that no one in that club was prepared and/or willing to fight back. But they were trying to get the hell out of there.  Put yourself in the coward's (Shooters) shoes, with the stipulation of you knowing what you know given your training and experience.

Your plan is to go to this club, where several hundred people are. You want to take out as many as possible, as quickly as possible.  You know it will be utter chaos once you start shooting with people running for the exits.  What you have available is whatever weapons you can purchase at the local gun shop.  You can choose one firearm and enough ammo to reload as often as you can.

I know you can see where I'm going with this but, what do you pick?

I see open carry people every time I walk into a store or restaurant around my town. Keep in mind, the assholes hell bent on robbery or committing other forms of mayhem are looking for soft targets to hit. That being said, I can see some benefit to open carry. It can provide a visual deterrent against some of these assholes. Walking in and seeing a few people with a peacemaker strapped to their side might make them think twice before hitting that location.

I can see both sides of the argument.

We're talking about the idiots who are out to pick a fight or prove a point. Like the fatass moron I saw in wal mart with a 9 loosely dangling from a cheap ass holster on his sweat pants staring everyone down like he's in MMA. Or the idiots that thought it was a cool idea to go into chipotle and lay their ARs down on the tables loaded with patrons nearby admittedly just to prove a point. These chumps aren't protecting anyone. In fact they are a liability. A gun is still a dangerous weapon and it doesn't need to be abused in the hands of idiots like those.

This morning Obama denounced those who call the creature an alligator.

“What exactly would using this label accomplish? What exactly would it change? Would it make carnivorous reptiles less committed to trying to kill small animals, including humans? Would it bring in more herpetologists? Is there a containment strategy that is served by this? The answer is, none of the above. Calling a threat by a different name does not make it go away. This is a political distraction.”

The president added: “There’s no magic to the phrase, ‘alligator.’ It’s a political talking point; it’s not a strategy.”

"Wally Gator, Tick-Tock, Albert,  -- they were all some funny ass alligators that gave us much joy. Are we going to start treating all alligators differently now? Are we going to start subjecting them to special surveillance?" he asked.  "That's what some are suggesting."

Democratic nominee Fuckholery Clinton was quick to note that the attack was isloated.  Clinton said she would put together teams of government and private sector officials to try to identify lone wolf alligators and ensure law enforcement agencies have the resources they need for such efforts.

I just saw a video where students and others were holding a vigil for the Orlando victims at U. of Missouri.  A black lady was starting to speak and opened with something to the effect of, "I'm a little nervous in speaking up here because there's so many white people" She followed that up with "I'm not joking".

In all seriousness though, many people - mostly white - started clapping for her. She said she wished the #BLM movement got as much support as the gay community. If you watch the video, a white guy standing right behind claps furiously. You can see it in his face that he hates himself and wishes to bow down to new people of color overlords.

I don't really care too much about a crazy person saying crazy things into the microphone. That happens. You ignore them and move on. If what they say and do is that detrimental to themselves or society, you get them professional help.

I do care that a crowd of people did not run her off the stage. I care that people clapped. I care that bullshit like that has become normal and that people who dissent are taken away by police officers as seen in the video.

Why did we let Missouri in the SEC again?

The attack at the airport in Turkey is exactly why gun control would have little to no effect.  While I did see a report that at least one of the terrorists had a gun, ultimately 40 plus people were killed by being blown the fruck up.  If someone wants to off a bunch of people, they'll find a way.  What was it in the Boston Marathon attack...a pressure cooker?

This!! ^^

If that damned George Bush had not let the assault weapons ban of 1994 expire in 2004, then think of how many people could have been saved on 9/11. And in the Tanzania and Uss cole bombings in 1998 and 2000. Columbine too in 1999! We must ban them so the bad guys will think twice about assaulting. I'm outraged.

No person ever needs access to an automatic assault bomb. There is just no valid reason for it. People could get hurt for Petes sake.

So France gets hit again.  No word yet that I've heard on who is responsible but since the van was loaded with weapons and the driver came out firing away, it's a pretty safe bet that we'll be hearing about ISIS. (or ISIL if it's coming from our weak kneed, Muslim Prez)  70+ dead so far and over 100 wounded.

I said "van".  Didn't see but a glimpse of the video.  Big ass truck.  And Buzz is 100% correct.  If we don't go on the offensive, we'll all just be targets.  Trump said bomb the shit out of them.  I have no clue what the best strategy is but it can't be too far off from that.  Hellary says, "Let our Muslim brothers help us in the fight."

I was watching this panel of people on Fox discuss the massacre this morning.  Didn't know who any of them were.  But one lady actually said the rise of ISIS is due to the rhetoric from Trump.

So, I started flipping channels looking for some other coverage of it and came across MSNBC. Lo and behold, they were saying pretty much the same thing but didn't confine it to Trump. It was the Republicans fault.

My bet is that the perp is hiding in your office somewhere. Maybe under a desk.

If he is black, you better not shoot. Please, do not shoot him. I'd much rather he shoot you. The traffic jams are bad enough on the circle as it is without protests.

Another example of what kind of people we're dealing with.  dot I am a gay twerker that has no balls!!!!  I also have no idea how to use the quote function to post stories, so I annoy the piss out of others.  I like male genatalia in and around my mouth. of fox news

A French government committee has heard testimony, suppressed by the French government at the time and not published online until this week, that the killers in the Bataclan tortured their victims on the second floor of the club.

The chief police witness in Parliament said that an investigating officer, tears streaming down his face, rushed out of the Bataclan and vomited in front of him just after seeing the disfigured bodies.

According to this testimony, Wahhabist killers apparently gouged out eyes, castrated victims, and shoved their testicles in their mouths. They may also have disemboweled some poor souls. Women were stabbed in the genitals – and the torture was, victims told police, filmed for Daesh or Islamic State propaganda. For that reason, medics did not release the bodies of torture victims to the families, investigators said.

But prosecutors claimed these reports of torture were “a rumor” on the grounds that sharp knives were not found at the scene. They also claimed that maybe shrapnel had caused the injuries.

Q. For the information of the Commission of Inquiry….can you tell us how you learned that there had been acts of barbarism within the Bataclan: beheadings, evisceration, eyes gouged out …?

Investigator: After the assault, we were with colleagues at the passage Saint-Pierre Amelot when I saw weeping from one of our colleagues who came outside  to vomit. He told us what he had seen.
