Weird how we have them for Presidents (who don't actually legislate) and don't have them for the people who do actually make the laws.

I'd say so long and good riddance to a racist, bigoted, career-politician and pork-barrel Democrat who filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and was a Grand Cyclops of the Ku Klux Klan but then I'd be accused of not showing respect to my elders...and of being un-Christian.

So I'll pray that the God of Abraham will have mercy on his soul and that He will comfort the Senator's grieving family.


PS: Yes, I know he endorsed The ONE...maybe even a KKK member could have had a change of heart in his waning years...

He probably figured he needed to start studying for his final that he is now taking.  I suspicion he needed to study harder.
