"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

The Fergie song underwhelmed.

If I have one complaint it's that he allowed the guest to dominate every song.  It's like Slash faded into the background on most.  So the Ozzy song comes off like an Ozzy song and the Kid Rock song comes off like a Kid Rock song.  I would rather Slash have taken a stronger position and allowed the guests to supplement him rather than the other way around.

But given the current state of musicdom -- Justin Fucking Beeper, are you kidding me?  God help us I hate that wormy little punk ass bitch -- I'll take this ten times over.

But you know - thats what makes Slash great. He always complimented a song well.

I liked GnR best when Axl backed down and Slash tore up the stage.  Paradise City could stand alone without any vocals from Axl.

Some of the material you can almost hear him step forward and just start shredding.  The song with Lemmy, for instance, he gets right to the brink of unloading a vintage solo but stops short so he doesn't trample on the Lemster.

Since it is a Slash album, I really wanted to hear him maul some stuff.

Is he still rocking that distinct tone?

You could always pick a Slash solo out of a cacophony.  The tried and true Les Paul/Marshall stack combo sounds different in Saul's hands.

Opinions may vary but I would say yes.  It is different than GnR but all Slash.

I'm not talking about the songs...just the guitar tone.  Slash's is pretty recognizable.

I know you are not talking about the songs themselves. Dude don't you have somewhere you can steal it and listen for yourself?
