You sure he didn't say "McNurra" or maybe "Bone ya" as in I wanna?

Putting it on the record.

Our defense will get us killed down the road.  There's not but one more team on our schedule that will drop as many passes as Tennessee did tonight.  Toward the end, we made Jonathan CRAPton look like freaking Joe Montana.

Glad for a win, but my concern grows a little.

In his first news conference as AUBURN'S head coach in 1981, Pat Dye was asked this question:  "How long will it take you to beat Alabama"?  To which he responded, "Oh, about 60 minutes".

Prowler and Boartiz congrats on a great thread!
Prowler did the heavy lifting. I was flipping back and forth and chunking the hog score in without trying to douche the thread up.

This did concern me. Not like Gus at all to not go for the jugular at this point in the game.
Is he getting the MY team ego that Nutty had? Let Gus do his job. That's all that Gus wants. If Chizik wants to exercise control, Gus will bail. He will have plenty of offers.

We were watching Gus and it looked like he was still calling it but knew a field goal was a lot more important than getting the six at that point.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Just watched the game again on SECDigitalnetwork....

I think he called it about right in the end.  There was no reason to score quick at the end of the game when we had a chip in FG to put it out of reach.

..just my opinion...

The Defense isn't as bad as some are making it out to be, but it isn't as good as I'd like for it be.

Also, for those that are saying, "we made Crompton look like Joe Montana."   First thing, Auburn's Defense did make Crompton look any different, his WRs finally started catching the passes (They ran the pick play 6 or 7 times....they connected on the last two).  Second thing, that's different HOW?  I've lost count how many times an Auburn Defense has made one or two players jump up a few spots on the Heisman List after their game with us.....I just saw a blurr go by my window....must've been Talley.  That's going to happen, I know, but it just seemed that it never failed to happen against Auburn's Defense.

Just saying. Yall ain;t at the the end of the world. Yall are getting better each week on defense. That's what it takes to win in the SEC. Traditionally. Yall have Gus this year. That may change thangs.

Well...right, that's why I posted the stats.  Auburn's Defense isn't the best in the Country, but it definitely isn't the worst.  As long as our Offense keeps clicking, for most of the game, we'll be able to win...most of the games.
