Drivel Season
« on: April 19, 2009, 11:01:13 AM »
Now that A-Day is over, the long wait begins.  It's easy to go from bowl season to signing day to spring practice, but there's nothing to look forward to until four months brings us two-a-days.

Welcome to Drivel Season where the topics will be about:

Orange uniforms
Top (insert subject such as movies) of all time
Favorite restaurants
Cars
Song choices for video before kickoff

When do the preseason rags come out?  June?  July?

New NCAA game will be out in July.

Not that AU deserves any more coverage after last year, but I have feeling the preseason rags just might leave us out altogether this year.

I'm looking forward to the New Ncaa 10, since I still play 09 everyday.

I'm a bad fan/gamer.  I think I played that version about 10 times and haven't bothered with it since.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

It would also help if I could upgrade my television.  The games lose some luster on the 26" panasonic tube.

Dude, you can buy a larger T.V. for very cheap now a days.  Now, when you buy COD, don't get mad when we beat that ass.

Oh, I know.

I have more pressing financial matters to attend to.

The TV has taken a back seat, unfortunately.

I am sure, that you are like me and spend a large amount of money on alcohol.  I actually took a minute the other day and realized that I would be a millionaire by now if I didn't drink...then again, my life would suck.  I think I made the right choice.

Once yall reach level 10 you can start a clan. You can only have 3 rated fights a day, so this doesn't take very much time. Or you can play Trukz.

That will change once we get you some Call of Duty goodness.

Are you preparing to add some night vision goggles to your collection of military goods?  Something tells me that you might already own a pair...

Quote
Modern Warfare 2 Prestige Edition packs eye-opening bonus, costs $150

The practice of making extravagant "Collector's Editions" of video games is as old as gaming itself, but it looks like Activision is about to kick it up a notch.

When the anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is released on November 10, its $150 Prestige Edition will include what's surely the most extravagant bundled bonus ever -- a fully-functioning pair of night-vision goggles.   :pb:

An Activision community manager made the announcement in a Youtube video, where he unboxes and shows off the goggles, which carry the game's branding. The Prestige Edition also includes a head-shaped display stand for the goggles, an art book, and fancy limited-edition packaging.

Modern Warfare 2's night-vision specs will join a proud tradition of crazy video game pack-ins, including Halo 3's infamous cat helmet, The Sims 3's plumbob-shaped USB drive, and Fallout 3's oversized watch and bobble-head doll, which was featured in the game, too.

It'll retail at $150, and considering that even basic night vision goggles easily run over $100 on their own, it actually sounds like a pretty good deal. All the same, as far as we can determine, it's the most expensive retail video game bundle in history, discounting games that came with their own custom controllers.

So if you're keen to play Modern Warfare 2 (as the follow-up to easily the best game of '07, you should be) and you're keen to spy on your neighbors, you'd better get saving.

Yea I saw that yesterday.  I love to game, especially some call of duty goodness but you know how much bourbon/beer that will buy so I can drink while I am playing the regular version?  A hell of a lot is the answer.  You need to be worried about actually getting a system.  Do I need to speak to the biological egg donor about what daddy needs for Christmas?
