Mike Kolen is considered one of the all-time greatest Auburn men to ever wear the orange and blue.

The 1968 season was when I officially claimed Auburn as my team. Sullivan and Beasley led Auburn in comeback fashion to beat Alabama in the freshman game and would join the varsity the following year (1969) which were the senior years for both Buddy McClinton and Mike Kolen.


These were my favorite Auburn players from about age 9 and now only Buddy survives.


RIP Mike Kolen.


Have tried to find information to revisit some of the write ups and articles from that era but it's mostly accessible in the form of microfiche. Any remaining video closely resembles that of a Zapruder film. Memories will have to suffice.
