I don't normally pay much attention to halftimes, unless we're gonna' get a show from somebody like Alabama State or Alabama A&M, or Texas A&M. TA&M is pretty neato-keen to watch with the precision marching. Earlier in the season, they announced Auburn's band was doing a tribute to Metallica. I was like, Wuuuuut??? That's different.
The performance was damned entertaining, from the music to the light show. They put on the same show at the Iron Bowl. Turns out, there was a Metallica Marching Band Competition, with the actual band picking the winners. Auburn won.
The prize was $75,000.00 to the winner, which means Big Pookie can get some real band uniform pants. Why the bass drum don't ever get no love?
