Murder at the End of the World

I'm not going to make it through the end of this series.

It's something about a group of super-intellects who gather at the behest of the most super-intellecty one of all (a guy played by that dude...ummm.... yeah.... Clive Owen) for a summit to discuss how they can use their super-duper intellect to save the world from, like climate and usher in alternative intelligence to do all this stuff.

One of the invitees is a weird, broke ass, nerd, hacker girl who wrote a book about hunting a serial killer.  Aaaaaand... she's HORRIBLE.

Imagine you wanted to buy a Jodie Foster but Macy's was out. So was Target and Kohls. So was Wal Mart. So was Dollar General, Dollar Tree, Five Below, and Family Dollar. So was Amazon. So in desperation, you took a chance and order yourself a Jodie Foster from Wish.com.  THIS is what you would get.

All this 'actress' does is completely over or under-emote, stalk around moping, listen to crap music, and occasionally make a face where you go.... 'where have I seen that expression before.??.... oh yeah, Jodie Foster.'

Owen is pretty obviously riffing on an Elon Musk type character and the rest of the cast is B-level at best.   But dumpy, mopey, nerd girl is so gothtastically, egregiously, horifficially bad that  nothing else can stand it.  It's like Owen's fake AI created a CGI character that was supposed to behave like a human, but had no actual clue how that worked.

The only thing I see nerd girl has ever done is a 2022 adaptation of Lady Chatterley's Lover.  I have a fondness for the 1981 version with Sylvia Kristel that was the closest thing to porn you could get back in the day.  I'd hate to think of this schlub ruining that.

I don't care about the characters in this series, I don't care who killed Bill, I don't care who wore the Mardi Gras mask.  Done.

I think I'll see if I can hunt down Lady Chatterley instead.  The 81 version.  Just to see if it's as invigorating as I recall, particularly now that we live in a world where you can type essentially any odd, disgusting act in the search bar and pornhub will deliver it in an instant.

I am seriously amazed at how you stay in tune with cinema, tv, current events, politics, formerly AU football, run businesses and post bullscat onto the x. Seriously, you and GH are more up to date than most on the x. I think Wes is on the same level.

Then there’s a lot of us. Then, there’s Snaggle.

Multi-tasking.  Look into it.

To be fair, I would probably never have tried this series had I not been in the throes of the ten day flu.

I’ve watched a lot of TV while trying not to die.
