Another thrilling salt-in-the-wound moment!

I'm so happy to hear that Senator McCain is meeting with and planning on co-operating with Our Dear Leader and President-Elect, The Obama. (sarcasm)  When a Republican co-operates and compromises with a Democrat socialist the Democrat socialists usually get their way; remember "bi-partisan" means "whatever the Democrat socialists want".  The meeting and the joint statement really warmed my cold, black, conservative heart...The Obama and two of the senate's most compromising, Republican senators, the old-guard from The Gang of 14! (sarcasm)  (The author failed to mention that Sen. Linsday Grah-amnesty was with McCain at the meeting.)

And how sweet of the writer to mention the Bitch from Hell as our next possible SecState!

This is just another example of why that one (Senator McCain) was the wrong choice for the Republican party!

This from Townhall.com; more salt in my political wounds...maybe this will cauterize them at last (or not):

Obama, McCain pledge to work together for reform

Tuesday, November 18, 2008

The bitter general election campaign behind them, President-elect Barack Obama and Sen. John McCain are seeking common ground on a range of issues in hopes of engendering greater bipartisan cooperation in Washington.

The erstwhile rivals met for 40 minutes at Obama's transition headquarters Monday to discuss possible collaboration on climate change, immigration, Guantanamo Bay and more.

It was their first meeting since Nov. 4, when Obama vanquished McCain in an electoral landslide. Last Thursday, Obama reached out to another former competitor, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, whom he is considering as a possible secretary of state.

Aides to Obama and McCain said no Cabinet post is envisioned for the Arizona senator. Obama has said he plans to invite at least one Republican to join his Cabinet.

For Obama, cordial ties to two of the nation's most famous and successful politicians might smooth the launch of an administration confronting an economic crisis and two wars.

Before Monday's meeting, Obama said he and McCain would talk about "how we can do some work together to fix [fuck] up the country." He thanked McCain "for the outstanding service he's already rendered [by running a truly inept campaign and taking public financing to boot!!]."

BORROWING A LINE FROM RUSH, I HAD TO FIX THAT QUOTE FROM THE ONE.  AND ADD SOME OF MY OWN.

In a joint statement after the meeting, they vowed to work together to reform government and promote bipartisanship in Washington.

Meanwhile, Clinton, who returns to Congress as a fairly junior senator with no immediate prospects for a leadership post, appeared very much in the running for secretary of state. Transition officials said she and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, were cooperating with a vetting process, although there were other contenders for the job.

Bill Clinton's finances and business relationships could pose a conflict of interest for his wife if she became the nation's top diplomat. Since leaving the White House in 2001, he has amassed a multimillion-dollar fortune and built a large international foundation through his ties to corporations and foreign governments.

As for Obama and McCain, they expressed similar views on a number of issues during the campaign, such as the dangers of climate change and a need to ease U.S. dependence on fossil fuels.
