Daquayvious Sorey announces his commitment to Auburn,
Four-star wide receiver Daquayvious Sorey of Chipley (Fla.) High announced his commitment to Auburn Friday morning.
The 6-foot-2, 185 pounder chose the Tigers over Alabama, Florida, and Miami.
Sorey on why he chose Auburn
“Auburn is really a great environment and has a strong, family-like community and that is a plus,” Sorey said. “Coach Harsin is a great coach and runs a strict program, which is something that I am ready to commit to and be around for a couple of years. Also, the bond that me and coach Ike have is one like no other. The same can be said about coach Whitlow as well.”
Strong relationship with coaching staff + Auburn’s plan for Sorey
“My relationship with the coaching staff is good,” Sorey said. “I talk to all of them almost every day. Coach Ike wants to use me as the X receiver, meaning I will have a lot of deep routes like posts and go’s. I feel like I’m already there and a part of the family.
The sunshine state wide receiver joins coach Harsin and the Tigers’ No. 39 class alongside Karmello English, Jeremiah Cobb, and others.
Sorey currently ranks as the No. 265 Player in the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that accounts for all four major recruiting services. He also tabs in at the No. 35 wide receiver, and the No. 53 player in the state of Florida.
