How Long Did It Take You To Vote
« on: November 04, 2008, 03:52:34 PM »
I'm in a heavily republican area of Alabama:

I walked right up to the ballot line for the H's and voted in less than 5 minutes.  Voted at about 1:30pm

A-C line was short in Montgomery...

Voted in about 5-10 mins...in and out.  9am this morning.  Vote # 303 on the machine.

I live in a rural area, so it didn't take me very long at all.  At 7:45 this morning I was the 66th voter.

The question isn't who is going to let me; it's who is going to stop me.
-Ayn Rand

The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

The government solution to a problem is usually as bad as the problem.

-Ronald Reagan

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

About 30 minutes in Pell City. I am pretty confident that the chosen one will not carry my town.

Early voted Friday in Houston - waited 2 hours and 15 minutes in line.  Contrast to today - Carl went to our precinct and waited 15 minutes.

Election Day is the only time I am appreciative of the color red - God Bless Texas. At least we got it right - pun intended.  We here in the Lone Star need to start rethinking that whole "Independent Republic of Texas" thing...

Someone needs to start printing bumperstickers that say something to the effect of "Someone else go work - Obama's gonna buy me a beer."  and "Don't blame me - I voted no to socialism." and "You liberal shitheads made your bed, now lay in it."

This country is so fucked for the next two years.  I say 2 years because after two years of Reid/Pelosi/Obama, the Republican backlash votes in 2010 will overwhelm all them bastards and give us Congressional control once more.

But for now?  Fucked.

Fox news just called the whole election for the messiah with California votes.  All these people hugging and kissing and acting so excited  - they have no idea of the damage they just inflicted on this country.

Fuck.  I am sick to my stomach.

Someone roll out the welcome mat for Amadinajhad and Chavez and Castro... one big socialist/terrorist loving fuck fest...

Fuck, it's nice to see at least one person on here as pissed off as I am.

For health reasons, I'm going to have to avoid anything and everything politics here in the near future.  It'll fucking kill my ass.

I can guaranfuckingteeeee that I won't sit idle when it comes time to get these fuckhole liberals the fuck out of dodge in 2010 and 2012.

The country wanted fucking hippies in fucking power, and it's a hippies they fucking get.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."
