I was on the beach a couple of years ago, fairly early in the day. Not a ton of folks out there but mainly old geezers, some really young kids and family’s.!I was really the only one in the area with a true beach bod going on. But there were a few nice soccer moms I wouldn’t kick to the curb. My wife was one.

Cracked open a miller light well before noon and enjoying my morning when my wife spots a school of sharks headed toward this lady and her kids. I immediately sprang to my feet, ran 30 yards and out into the surf to get her attention. Yelling shark at the top of my lungs. Literally, as loud as I could. I promise.

There were probably in excess of 20 people around and numerous others on down the beach who were focused on me at this point. When the lady, and mind she sounded like a yankee, told me those were dolphins.

I grew up going to the beach down here is what I was thinking. “I know those are dolphins, you stupid bitch. It was just a drill.” Is what I was thinking. But I just want back to my towel and didn’t talk for a while as my wife and a few friends laughed like hell. Oh they loved that.

It could have been a shark. And killed them all.
