At the end Michael takes off his mask to show he is just a privileged white male.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

It's not as bad as I expected; it's just not special either.

If you have never seen any of the sequels, then this would be a neat idea. As it is, it's the best ideas any of the sequels had. High-level fan fiction. B grade. Cheap matinee or wait for Netflix/Redbox/Prime/Hulu/Shudder/HBO/Showtime release.

You do know that the entire premise of this entry in the pantheon is that none of the sequels existed, right?  You're supposed to block them out and assume this is the followup to the original.

Totally aware of that. Was stating that this would work better if those sequels didn't actually exists or had never been seen. I've seen them all so even if you tell me it doesn't exist, it's hard to forget them. Kind of like vacated wins.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

Saw it again to confirm thoughts. Yep, disappointing. This movie insists nothing past the first one happened to then proceeds to repeat something from ALL of those sequels. (Yes, there's something from II, III - which has nothing to do with Michael Myers, 4, 5, 6, 6 - the Producers Cut, half of this is H20 20 years later, Resurrection, and both Rob Zombie abortions.) That adds up to well-financed fan fictions. It's made nearly $100 million so there will be more, but this one falls somewhere in the bottom half of the series.
