They weren't talking about a few plays. They wanted him at QB.

I'm all for a few plays, maybe even a series instead of KJ.
Don't know why they used Truitt as wildcat. Smith was mentioned to get a shot as a full timer when he signed.

Now now, it is plausible to insert the WR/read option kid in for a couple of series just to see how our team and the defense reacts. Could prove profitable. We are getting 4.44 out of our run game but past results indicate we will need better against the brunt of the schedule going forward. It's a nice change of pace and who knows, we might catch fire and steal a few if the defense can get 3 or 4 stops and we get some decent play calling. We might can get by with 12-18 throws if the offensive line kicks it up a few notches, similar to LSU or maybe UT.
Jason Smith can pass too, HS & JUCO QB.
