AU/Louisville Game Day Plans

Alright, you've waited months for the opener. The incessant talk is almost over. I'm sure there may be a few going to the ATL but it sounds like most on here are going to catch it in color on the Magnavox Console television. What's the game day plan? Eats? Dranks of choice?

We're headed to scenic, alligator infested Lake Eufaula. Family and tons of Dothan folk will be up there. My buddy lives up there and they've got a set up where they take everything down to the beach area by the water. Set up tents, the grill, a camp fire and seating area and they hang the wide screen. Wings are the tasty morsels of choice. I'll be throwing back ice-cold Landsharks (Fins up, bitches). My buddy said he was bringing beer too, but he lied. Found out he was stocking up on Michelob Ultra. Fine, he doesn't have to drink if he doesn't want to.

Plans? GF, you got the Auburn Club up again this year?

Gonna throw some ribs on the smoker (I picked up some rubs while in KC and can't wait to try them), make a few appetizers, and hang out with my three Auburn loving girls.

Yes sir. We will be over at the Steak & Shake this year, by the old mill off of SR92

Youth football till noon, followed by some ice cold adult beverage and AU football all while some slow cooking chili in the crock pot. Then, as I go back for seconds, I will enjoy a huge bammer loss after enjoying a huge Auburn win. Perfect day.

Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

I am having some friends over. Let the kids swim while I smoke some ribs and hamburgers. A little buffalo chicken dip for the game and watch the Tigers maul 'em some red birds.

Hey hey hey....slow your roll on the Michelob big guy. It has about the same alcohol % content as your beloved Land Sharks. Take that buddy!

I suspect I will head up to A town and watch it somewhere with some of my fellow Orange and Blue peeps, maybe downtown.

~~Well, no local Friday night lights to catch, as my Husky Fast team are playing the Rebels/Ackbars/Whatevers away.~~ Scratch that, had the date wrong. I'll be mowing the lawn first thing tomorrow, then its brews and football.

Side note: Didn't click until last night that CBS no longer has the Open coverage and we will be Verne and Gary'd from week 1 onward. Sweet.
