The hookering...
« on: January 23, 2015, 04:23:08 PM »
Saw where Mobile mobilized a task force and in conjuction with Homeland Security rounded up 16 prostitutes.  They were all pretty ugly so not worth linking or adding photos.

But I think about this.

Why is it illegal for a woman to agree to fuck a man for money if that's what she wants to do?  Pimping I'm not much of a fan of, it just wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be.

But if you're 25 years old or older and you choose to provide a man services in exchange for benefits, why should you be prevented from doing so?

I happen to know a 25 year old girl who currently "visits" at least three different married men.  She works sort of part time, but has her own apartment. She has a very nice car. She's always dripping in nice clothes, jewelry, shoes, watches, and accessories.  She goes to Vegas for weekends. She flies to New York for Christmas shopping.  She's never short of cash. Ever.

Some would call her a prostitute I guess. It's not what I'd want for my kids, but this girl has limited education, she's not very bright and she's using the only thing she has at her disposal.  Because she looks good. And flirts hard.  She is smart enough that even though she's mowing through money, she's also putting shitloads back.  Her bank account is fat.  Fatter than mine.

Should she be condemned? Is what she's doing wrong (other than the morality of providing married men what they are absolutely, positively not getting at home).  These guys aren't going to leave their wives and kids. They all know exactly what they're getting out of it.

Is that wrong?

I would imagine most clients would be married but last time I checked, adultery wasn't illegal outside of the Arab world.  Why can't a single man pay for it if he wants?

Question for you jet setters.  Is hookery legal in Vegas?  Or am I misremembering?

Outside the city limits.

http://www.lasvegaslogue.com/prostitution

First thing’s first: Prostitution is illegal in the city of Las Vegas.

That said, several counties in Nevada have legalized the world’s oldest profession, so you can find legal prostitution about 60 miles outside of Sin City. Of course, there are a number of prostitutes working within the city limits, so if you are willing to take the risk and you know where to look, you should have no problems finding one … or at least someone who is willing to take your money.

The Legal Brothels

There are about 30 legal brothels operating in Nevada at the moment, and the majority of them are in the northern part of the state near Reno and Carson City. Nye County, located just north of Las Vegas, has fewer than 50,000 residents as well as legal brothels, so this is where you’ll want to head if you don’t want to drive for a whole day.

Nye County’s largest city of Pahrump, which is home to two of the more famous legal brothels in Nevada. This is about 60 miles northwest of Las Vegas, but Amargosa Valley, Beatty, Crystal, Death Valley Junction and Scotty’s Junction are also small towns with legal brothels, if you’d like to check out your options beyond Pahrump.

How Legal Brothels Work

Guests enter a bar or lounge area. In most cases, all of the girls working at the moment are asked to line up and introduce themselves. The guest can choose immediately, or he can order a drink from the bar and take his time choosing as some of the girls might do more to convince him of their charms. After the guest and the girl pair up, they go back to her room and negotiate a price in private for the services requested.

The unofficial minimum price is $100, but most girls fetch somewhere between $200 to $300 minimum for intercourse or about 30 minutes of fun. Former and current porn stars sometimes base themselves at the brothels for a week or two at a time, and they can charge $1,000 or more. Guests should negotiate everything up front if they have something special in mind. Most girls don’t kiss on the mouth, but these girls are obviously not shy so who’s to say what a bit more money might buy?

After the price is negotiated, the guest is asked to pay that amount in advance, and the girl will take the money back to the cashier before the real fun begins. Tips are extra at that point, but you should realize that the girl usually only gets half of the negotiated price and the house gets the other half. If the guest arrived in a taxi or limo, the driver will usually get a cut of the total too, so the girls appreciate extra tips.

It nice to work with professionals.

The local slut sounds more like a mistress than a straight up hooker.  Yes, I know it's semantics, but it's not a straight up business transaction at a street corner between two strangers.

I agree that a sex for money exchange between two consenting adults should be legal, but there is no way to protect the bottom feeder types who truly are victimized and abused.

Arresting, fining and jailing them protects them from abuse?

Only to the extent they aren't getting beat up when they are in lock down.

It's the same thing as arresting the low level street dealers and letting the dealers go free.   I agree, it's stupid.  A crack whore gonna whore for the rock.  I think the pimps should go down too, but they are a lot harder to catch.  It's sad.

Nope. Not legally. It should be legal. Let people do what they want in their lives as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

On one hand, I don't care at all if someone is having sex for money.

On the other hand, I would just as soon my home town not have an open red-light district. I think legalizing prostitution outright (never happen here anyway, we can't get the lottery passed) would invite all sorts of unsavory consequences for Alabama. Since it is illegal I think most LEOs and law makers would rather not divert resources to pursing it, however if you have a problem with prostitution in your area (much like drug issues) you'll find that very quickly you have a corresponding spike in property crime, overdoses, assaults, rapes and murders.

People engaging in illegal activities make fantastic victims. Heck, in a really nice area I can think of someone gets robbed or rolled in one of the lower end hotels every couple weeks or so. Once that trend emerges prostitution stings start showing up.

Not advocating brothels or that kind of thing.  More like private transactions.  If Kimmy is running short of cash, needs to pay rent and offers two blow jobs a week for a month in exchange for the $200 she needs to cover her expenses and if I happen to have $200 I wouldn't miss why should such a mutually beneficial arrangement be agin the law?

It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."
