Decision Day: Kerryon Johnson to pick Alabama, Auburn or FSU

MADISON, Alabama -- The big day has arrived for Madison Academy's Kerryon Johnson, who will announce his college football commitment at 2:30 p.m. today.
Alabama and Auburn join Florida State as finalists to land the four-star prospect, who is rated as the nation's No. 2 athlete in the 2015 recruiting class by the 247Sports Composite.

Josh Bean | Prediction: ALABAMA
Johnson has been the best player on the field in last three AHSAA Class 3A state title games, starring as a runner, defensive back, receiver and kick returner. He really can do it all and has the size to be a difference maker on either side of the ball. His blend of size, speed and elusiveness has drawn comparisons to 2011 Mr. Football T.J. Yeldon, and Johnson's game seems to translate best to Alabama's system. So, I'll say he'll choose Bama.
Daniel Boyette | Prediction: FLORIDA STATE
The team Johnson rooted for during his childhood is back atop the college football world. Don't be shocked to see him bolt state lines for Tallahassee.
Matt Scalici | Prediction: AUBURN
The wind appears to be blowing in Auburn's direction for Kerryon Johnson but his decision to move up his announcement date shortly after visiting Florida State gives me pause. Johnson would be an equally strong fit in Tallahassee, where there will be early playing opportunities aplenty, and I think FSU is Auburn's primary threat here. I'm going with Auburn but by the thinnest of margins.
Jeff Sentell | Prediction: FLORIDA STATE
Johnson has felt very comfortable with Florida State for quite some time. He also has family ties to that area. The backfields at Alabama and Auburn are mighty crowded with more elite prospects in the Class of 2015 still on the way. Jameis Winston blazed the trail for elite in-state prospects to look elsewhere, too.
Wesley Sinor | Prediction: ALABAMA
Call it a hunch, but I've had Johnson to Alabama since the get-go. I don't really want to turn back now, although it's clear Auburn and Florida State have made up plenty of ground. I believe he'll end up at Alabama, but will likely be moved to safety.
Mike Herndon | Prediction: FLORIDA STATE
He grew up a Florida State fan, and he moved up his decision after visit to Tallahassee. He wants a legitimate shot at playing running back and Florida State has the thinnest depth chart at the position of his three favorites. The Seminoles have shown a willingness to give an athlete a full shot at his position of choice even when he might have made a bigger impact elsewhere (see: James Wilder, Jr.). Johnson is the type of athlete who could be a fit in pretty much any offense. The question is where he wants to fit. I'm thinking it'll be FSU.
Keith Niebuhr, 247Sports Recruiting Analyst | Prediction: AUBURN
It's a rare case where apparently the prospect has even kept the respective programs guessing. A strong case could be made for each. However, I'm giving Auburn a slight edge. I mean, real slight. The reason? From Day 1, Auburn has recruited him at RB, which is what he sees himself as being. Also, he has maintained for a while the Tigers are recruiting him hardest.
