Anyone see this week's episode?

The topic was evolution. It did a pretty good job of explaining some things people on this forum take issue with.

I highly, highly, highly recommend, especially if you don't believe in evolution.

Watched it last night, pretty good program about what they believe and not trashing the other side of the coin.

I have my beliefs but I question a lot of things along the lines of religion.

My sister is a bible thumper and we have this discussion every now and then and my two questions to her pretty much always shuts her up.

1. Man wrote the bible and man is imperfect.
2. Where are the dinosaurs in the bible, we know they existed cause we got the bones?

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Just to play devils advocate here a bit....

Man laid down what he thinks are the concepts of science. But man is imperfect.

Sounds like Mrs. Dallas but then look what she has to deal with.

And I believe science to be imperfect and for the most part (take away political agendas) most people in science believe parts of their studies are imperfect and continue to try and prove other wise.

I honestly have no idea who or what is right. We will all one day find out. I think each side could pick apart the other side as they see the facts.

My doctor told me I needed to stop masturbating.  I asked him why, and he said, "because I'm trying to examine you."

When I skimmed past the ads for the show, that's who I thought it was, yes.  I knew it wasn't Webster because he didn't have a moustache or Arnold because he's dead.

In Job, which according to archaeologist was probably the first book of the Bible recorded.

15 “Look at Behemoth,
which I made along with you
and which feeds on grass like an ox.
16 What strength it has in its loins,
what power in the muscles of its belly!
17 Its tail sways like a cedar;
the sinews of its thighs are close-knit.
18 Its bones are tubes of bronze,
its limbs like rods of iron.
19 It ranks first among the works of God,
yet its Maker can approach it with his sword.

You meet a man on the Oregon Trail. He tells you his name is Terry. You laugh and tell him: "That's a girl's name!" Terry shoots you. You have died of dissin' Terry.
