Four alleged prostitutes were arrested in the Tuscaloosa area this week during an undercover operation in which investigators found and contacted the women on various websites. TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Undercover officers with the Tuscaloosa Police Department arrested four alleged prostitutes on March 4-5, the second operation using websites to track down prostitution in the past month.
According to a TPD release, undercover officers focused on "internet escorts" across multiple sites.
The women, who range from 21- to 27-years-old, were arrested for solicitation of prostitution.
TPD says the arrests were executed at two locations, with two suspects "soliciting together" during each arrest.
Kathleen Taylor Gunter, 21, of Birmingham was arrested in the 4100 Block of E McFarland Blvd at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 4. She was charged with 1 Count of Solicitation of Prostitution.
Haley Elizabeth Rugg, 25, of Birmingham was arrested in the 4100 Block of E McFarland Blvd at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 4. She was charged with 1 Count of Solicitation of Prostitution.
Denissia Quintera Mitchell, 25, of Alexander City, was arrested in the 3500 Block of E McFarland Blvd at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5. She was charged with 1 Count of Solicitation of Prostitution.
Sheavonn Dominique Young, 27, of Alexander City, was arrested in the 3500 Block of E McFarland Blvd at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 5. She was charged with 1 Count of Solicitation of Prostitution.
