Love Marshall, he's the biggest single positional upgrade from last year, but our offensive MVP is Tre Mason or a group award to the O-Line.

You meet a man on the Oregon Trail. He tells you his name is Terry. You laugh and tell him: "That's a girl's name!" Terry shoots you. You have died of dissin' Terry.

At least McBadtattoo is far enough down that if Winston gets convicted of raping a bus load of baby nuns he won't make up enough ground on the other two to win.

He would be a less deserving winner than Ingram.  I can't see how the bammers are justifying him being in the running for it.  All they can say is look at his career, well, it's not a fucking lifetime achievement award.

I haven't listened to much sports talk radio this week, but last week the talking heads were all such dipshits about McTatt:

"Well, first off this isn't a lifetime achievement award...but when you look at McTatt's body of work...the championships.  He deserves it."

What?

What?

Jason Whitlock said the same last night. Face palm.

He also said Winston can win it next year. Therefore it should be aj. I usually like Whitlock.

Yeah. It's not a lifetime achievement award, but this year he'll neither compete in the SEC or BCS championships, so he definitely deserves the 2013 Heisman.

Also if it's about being a QB and "just winning", and we acknowledge that it's a year to year award, if we're not giving it to Winston, Marshall should be #2 in line.

Also, there's this:

Nick would have to work on his throwing in the off season and get a lot better. IMO

Using that logic, the 09 Heisman should have been Colt McCoy (which was the right call then)

I see your point, but the Heisman should have gone to Toby Gerhart that year.

Ingram won it for carrying Alabama over SC with 200 or so and then having a decent game in the SEC- G

Tre's body of work is exponentially greater than the puffy ewok's. it's not even close.

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

1,621 yards and 22 TD's.  Bad azz.  I did see this quote in an al.crumbs article on Mason getting Heisman recognition.  Answering the question of whether Tre should get an invite.  So, since he's one of, if not the best back in the country....but hasn't been pimped....

"It's borderline because it's so late in the process," said Chris Huston of HeismanPundit.com. "So much of it is about name recognition."
