They are pretty badass!

If the bass player wants to impress though he needs to run the bass line from Higher Ground by the RHCP.

Werd. Playing in a our church band a couple of years ago, this young kid, maybe 14-15 at the time, steps in to play bass for that Sunday.  At practice, we were joking around and I asked him if he knew that bass line.  He hadn't heard it but would check it out.  The next week, he comes in and starts ripping it up like he's been playing it all his life.  Turns out this kid is one of those phenoms...just hear anything and start playing it like he wrote it.


I hate people like that.  I hate this kid.

I picked up the tambourine and learned to play it on my own. Never had a lesson. I don't care to boast much about my musical talent as some above have but I have performed in places too.

I would venture to guess that were I afforded the opportunity to learn at an early age, like these youngsters, I could have played professionally. Hee Haw, the Opry, who knows. But, that's water under the bridge.
