Maybe Gus doesn't want to get Marshall hurt by running him straight into the teeth of the D in wildcat situations. Maybe he doesn't want Wallace hurt either because he'd have to take the redshirt of Johnson or maybe Wallace isn't very good at wildcatting. Maybe Kiehl Frazier's salary demands he get some use out of him.

All things that make you go hmmm.

Gus' response to this question aired on the radio broadcast Saturday.(paraphrased) Kiehl has been there and this isn't new for him to which the questioner agreed that Frazier did have success in 2010 as the WC QB.

But I agree, it adds nothing if there is no threat to throw and it has generally been a wasted play since 2010. Just run CAP on a Green Bay sweep if you want a change of pace.

Fewer hits on a physically smaller qb...Gus and Marshall get a play to sit together and talk, without burning a timeout....I still am not a fan, but can see some pros.

Remember when Kodi would run in to wildcat and Cam would come out in early '10? It didn't last all season. I think this will be similar.

This, plus when you are running the HUNH and your QB is doing double duty as a running back in the option then you have to rotate him out some or running plays are going to stop being as effective.

I agree. Gets what?  Kaleeyl  came in on the first play of a series one time.  They didn't have an opportunity to talk during the time out?

This is another example of Gus out thinking himself.  You really substitute someone for Cam to run the mildcat?  Really?  You take a guy who is no longer on your QB depth chart, who is half as fast as your starter, half as fast as your #2 guy, half the arm of either one with zero decision making skillz from the position....and the point is.....?

During the game they mentioned that he was now back on the offensive roster.  I guess they decided that he sucked at safety too.
