You have GOT TO read Mike Carey and his Felix Castor series.
Book One is The Devil You Know. Felix Castor is an exorcist by trade, hired to remove a ghost from a government archive building. For all of the implausible in that sentence, Carey more than makes it work, and how. one of the best books I have read in a long time.
Fix, as he is called, is a lot like Dresden, but without the cute puppy or Bob the taking skull for comic relief. These books are dark and gritty, and set in the seedier sides of London. But they are awesomesauce.
I just started the second book - there are five in the series so far - and i am hooked already. Dresden may have had his silver summoning circle to bind demons, but without giving a spoiler, I have never read any series who uses a sucubus in quite this way... It ROCKS.
