I have some opinions on this. I will hold onto most of them. Something just reeks about this.

And yes, I absolutely loved Breitbart. He's what every American should be. A true patriot.

We may have the same opinions, GH.  I just heard an interview with Breitbart on Hugh Hewitt's radio talk show just last night; he said some things in that interview that really give me pause to think about his untimely death.  This does reek.

Glad that you posted on this shocking news, GarMan.  Breitbart was truly a pioneer in the new media.

I've never heard of him.

He started as editor for the tiny, little aggregation website called The Drudge Report.  Then started the news site Breitbart.com followed by BigGovernment.com, BigHollywood.com, Breitbart.tv, BigJournalism.com, and BigPeace.com.  Ironically he also helped start the Huffington Post before it went left-wing lunatic fringe.

I've never heard of him.

Guy made it his job to expose corruption in government or related to government. He brought down ACORN and was able to tie them to Obama. He also exposed the plot to frame the tea partiers as saying racial slurs at rallies. He offered up 100K to anyone who could prove that any tea partier used a racial slur at a rally - no one ever was able to.  The guy had guts and pissed many people off in a position of power because he exposed them. True warrior.

We shall drink a beer for him Saturday TH.  To Breitbart!

Also, stay class liberals. From the Daily KOS:

Quote
Andrew Breitbart was a brutal, revolting, disgusting piece of trash who undermined this country and represented the worst of American politics. None of us will ever have to worry about the workings of his evil ways again. He is done. He will be remembered not for whatever good was in him but for being a destroyer of our way of life. He wasted his life and made our lives that much harder. The world is better off and brighter without him. Good riddance.

Don't mistake my relief for glee. I'm not glad he's dead. I am relieved. It is a great relief to me to be able to say those few words--whose relevance and veracity no one can honestly dispute.

I sympathize with the bereaved. Most of us know what it is like to be personally bereaved. It sucks. Other people, by their bias or ignorance, saw Breitbart in a different light. We are all entitled to our own perceptions. I would never give my opinion of Andrew Breitbart at his funeral (as if I would even go), and I don't support dancing on other people's graves.

Rather, Breitbart's passing is a one-time occasion to condemn him for the evil he did to this world, and then to let go of our resentment of him for his crimes. With these few words I hereby accomplish exactly that, at least for myself. The people who say "now isn't the time" or "it isn't respectful" can go suck a lemon. They do not know what they are talking about. If we would ethically show quiet respect for a person in death, then our enmity toward that person in life was wrong. And if the enmity was not wrong, then quiet respect is hypocritical, and an abrogation of our obligation to bear witness to history.

What exactly did he do that was "evil"? Oh yeah, he exposed crooked people for what they were. Also forgot THS, that he is the one that uncovered the Anthony Weiner scandal.

I would expect no less from that side of the political spectrum; but, I have to admit that I just might say the same things about Bill Maher if this had happened to him.

It wasn't just the moonbat, lefties and socialist Dems that despised him; one of the news reports that I read also pointed out that he'd absolutely infuriated the Establishment Republicans last year by inviting the gay Republican Group, GOProud, to CPAC.

I thought that I'd add that in Hugh Hewitt's interview of Breitbart last night he started with a lighter question asking him what rock concerts that he'd thought that the Republican candidates had attended in their youth, his responses showed a little of his humor; Newt Gingrich: 'The Eagles', Mitt Romney: 'Donny and Marie', and Rick Santorum: 'Helen Reddy'.  I admit to chortling at that answer...but, then again, I'm a political addict.

Great video!  Some of my favorite quotes from this speech:

Quote
Barack Obama is a radical.  We should not be afraid to say that.
...

I don't care who the candidate is.  Ask not what the candidate can do for you, ask what you can do for the candidate!
...

When I walk through CPAC or travel the United States to meet people in the Tea Party who care; black, white, gay, and straight; anyone that's willing to stand next to me to fight the Progressive Left; I will be in that bunker with you and if you're not in that bunker because you're not satisfied with that candidate more than shame on you!  You're on the other side!

...

MSNBC, we're watching.  And listening.  You're going to have a hell of a time in 2012 because America has finally awoken to your Saul Alinsky, bullshit tactics, we're coming to get you.

This may surprise a lot of you, but I liked this guy.

The video above is not a good example of this, but typically, he was cool, calm, and collected when voicing his opinion with conviction and indignation. I admired that he did not bullshit, whatsoever. He appears pretty belligerent in the video posted above, but hey, he's playing to CPAC, so that's to be expected.

I also admired that, where a lot of conservatives won't go on MSNBC or shows like Real Time with Bill Maher, because they claim they don't want to dignify and legitimize them (but, to me, usually appear to be more out of fear that they will be made to look foolish), Breitbart would do these types of shows, guns blazing. And he didn't compromise what he was saying one bit for the liberal studio audience.

Here he is on msnbc, in some appearances that I feel was more characteristic of him.

And I too saw the "natural causes" report. There's nothing natural about a death at 43 in the year 2012.

Damn. We agree in the SGA. Unreal.

But yeah, what you said. I like anyone who comes out guns a blazing and does truth telling, even if it appears bizarre. The guy basically busted up a child prostitute ring, unmasked a lying piece of garbage Congressman and exposed Nancy Pelosi for orchestrating a false campaign to bring down her opposition including lying. And as TH said, he also pissed off much of the GOP establishment at times by calling a spade a spade. Kudos to him. I will miss his brand of honesty.

Check this shit out.

http://www.wnd.com/2012/03/breitbarts-last-investigation-obama/
Quote
Breitbart's last investigation? Obama
'I've got videos from his college days…'

Breitbart, the influential founder of BigGovernment.com, BigJournalism.com and other innovations in reporting whose sudden death today stunned the world of journalism, had been investigating President Obama.

Breitbart told a crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington last month that he had obtained videos of Obama from the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee’s college days.

The videos have not been made public, and a WND request to Breitbart’s organization did not elicit any immediate information about when they might be unveiled.

Later, Fox News’ Sean Hannity interviewed Steve Bannon, who is producer of “The Undefeated,” about the tapes.

Bannon told Hannity that the videos do exist, were taken during Obama’s time at Harvard, and will be released in a “week or two.”

“I’ve got videos, by the way. This election we’re going to vet him. I’ve got videos – this election we’re going to vet him – from his college days to show you why … racial division and class warfare are central to what hope and change was sold in 2008,” Breitbart told CPAC.

He said the videos will come out and reveal Obama during a time when he was meeting a “bunch of silver ponytails” – referring to Weather Underground terror group members Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.

It was in the couple’s Chicago home that Obama’s political career reportedly was launched, and his ties to the two run deep. There’s been a solid argument made that Ayers ghost-wrote Obama’s highly acclaimed memoir, “Dreams from My Father.”

The possibility of videos producing revelations about Obama’s college days is significant, as Obama has carefully kept concealed evidence about his life during the time he reportedly attended Occidental College in California and later two East Coast schools.

A lawsuit at one point obtained an order for Occidental to reveal Obama’s student records. The aim was to find out whether he obtained aid or assistance as a foreign student, lending credibility to the argument that he does not qualify to be president under the Constitution’s “natural-born citizen” requirement.

The statement:

The issue of Obama’s eligibility was addressed today when an investigative team commission by Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Ariz., said there is probable cause that the document released by the White House last year as President Obama’s birth certificate is a computer-generated forgery.

At a news conference today, lead investigator Mike Zullo said his team believes the Hawaii Department of Health has engaged in a systematic effort to hide from public inspection any original 1961 birth records it may have in its possession.

“Officers of the Hawaii Department of Health and various elected Hawaiian public officials may have intentionally obscured 1961 birth records and procedures to avoid having to release to public inspection and to the examination of court-authorized forensic examiners any original Obama 1961 birth records the Hawaii Department of Health may or may not have,” Zullo said.

Dr. Jerome Corsi, the author of several books on Obama, said at Arpaio’s news conference that he was able to help facilitate Breitbart’s request to interview Arpaio only hours before Breitbart’s death.
