Kevin Beebout, they're talking about you
Kevin Beebout has achieved his 15 seconds of fame.
His name came up Sunday when two Alabama football players who were teammates at Foley High School were asked if they have any friends who went to Auburn.
"I remember one from high school," Alabama star receiver Julio Jones said. "Kevin Beebout. That's the only one I can remember. I remember when I committed to Alabama, he was like, 'Man, you should have went to Auburn.'"
Who is Beebout?
"He was my quarterback in city league and middle school," Jones said. "I haven't seen him in a while. I haven't been home."
Tide defensive back Robert Lester played on that same middle school team and played in the same secondary with Beebout at Foley. The former teammate has called often to talk about the Tide's game against Auburn.
"He's called me every day about it," Lester said. "I'm pretty sure I'll get a call from him today.
"He tried to get me to commit to Auburn, but I wasn't hearing it."
