He was probably the originator of the infection in the TN locker room... one report said it was a staph infection... and he is supposedly out of the hospital now.
LOS ANGELES -- USC defensive coordinator Ed Orgeron has been hospitalized because of an infection, coach Lane Kiffin said Thursday.
Orgeron, who broke his right foot Sept. 9, missed the Trojans' Thursday practice. Kiffin said he was hopeful Orgeron would be out of the hospital by Friday afternoon to travel with the Trojans to the Bay Area, where they play No. 16 Stanford on Saturday. Orgeron was admitted to the hospital Wednesday night.
