Picked up an updated roster Saturday with new heights and weights. To give some idea of how some of these players have changed since last year, plus looking at some of the incoming freshmen and the direction this staff may take over the previous regime. For instance, the Linebackers on roster now are as follows:

Not taking a side on the best route to take between smaller and faster or bigger and stronger. We certainly had success under CTT with that style LB. However, you can see a definite trend towards the bigger guys with most of the players in that 230+ area and the freshmen sure to get bigger during their careers.

The two things of note here are how far they've come since Tony Franklin had them on the Slimfast plan of muscle building. Second, with Ryan Pugh up in the 300 range, I can easily see two NFL first rounders in Pugh and Ziemba if they have good seasons.
Our D-Line has now become surprisingly bigger from the past year. Not that there are any real monsters or guys blocking field goals wiff dey titties, but there are now a bunch of guys in the rotation at or above the 300 mark, which is essential in this league if you want to have success.

I'd like to see more numbers on the interior D-Line because we're an injury or two away from hurting pretty bad there. If they stay fairly healthy, I think we'll definitely have more bodies in the rotation on the interior than last year.
