More on Obama's surprise visit to Iraq
« on: April 15, 2009, 05:25:48 PM »
We all remember the video that the MSM and the warm reception that he received from the troops.  The articles are too long to post, but are worth the click and read.  I bet we will not hear one word about this from the MSM.  They are in the tank homers for "The Obama".

Great post, AUTiger1!  This kind of information is why I appreciate more and more the alternative media; you have to take everything grano salis these days; alternative sources like these blogs will help get the truth out about this current crowd running the executive branch (unless they try to shut down AM radio and teh ebays).

Apparently the bloggers are arguing about the veracity of this claim too, from AUTiger1's original sources (I like that this guy uses the term "The ONE" also, I should've trade-marked it):

Quote
...

Actually, I Googled pretty thoroughly. Image search Obama+Iraq+visit+troops and you won't find the two that Zuzu links to in his Digg comment that show a variety of cameras (the CTV.ca picture and the whitehouse.gov picture #6). You WILL find some very interesting pics of soldiers showing a marked lack of enthusiasm to The One. There is the photo from this story of troops failing to applaud Obama's visit to a Hawaiian mess hall over Christmas, and this picture of an underwhelming mess hall visit during Obama's earlier trip to Iraq (July 2008).

So apparently there are a couple of pictures that show troops with a variety of cameras at the recent photo-op, in addition to the pictures that seem to show 15 or so identical cameras. Good to know.

The presence of non-identical cameras in some pictures does not in any way undercut the purported statement from the sergeant that identical cameras were handed out, and the clumping of identical cameras in some pictures still supports that claim. Maybe the "officials" handed out a bunch of cameras to the front of the receiving line then ran out.
...

You'll probably have to scroll about 1/3rd of the way down but here's the link:

Listen people, he doesn't need the troops' OR your support.  He's obviously in cahoots with some very important people and everyone else doesn't matter:

A buddy of mine still in the International Zone emailed me some pics of the ONE that had been taken when he visited Iraq during the election or shortly thereafter (sometime last fall). He said these pictures had circulated around the emails of the various units/DoD agencies/DoS. I opened them up and the first thing that stuck out, was every 'troop' in all the pictures were Air Force slackers. (A little background, 99% of the Air Force guys I talked to while I was in Iraq, never hesitated to mention how they hated being there, how they hated being in the military, how they hated they way they were treated by Soldiers/Marines, how they hated the long miserable tours of 6 months, how they hated work having to set at a desk all day, how they hated that the gym closed at 21:00, how they hated how the Iraq starch made their ugly blue combat uniforms smelled, how they hated that the dinning facility didn't serve cheese cake every night of the week, how they hated that when a dust storm came through, the porn channel on their satelite in their 'dorm room' stopped working...you get my point?....Now I know there are some highspeed, low drag Zoomies out there pulling the trigger and blowing stuff up, I just never ran across those guys in the IZ)

So, if you want to get some folks together that really HATE Iraq and hate the mission in Iraq; get a bunch of Air Force folks together that are stuck in the IZ. These are going to be the folks that will slob that knob for the 'ONE' if he tells them they will not have to go back to Iraq. If the 'ONE' were to go into the IZ and tell some DoD contractors or DoD civilians that this might be their last 'tour' in Iraq; that would imply that their 'gravy train' was about to come to a screeching halt and they would be mad as hell. Those civilians would not hestitate to tell him off, so of course there has to be some kind of behind the scenes crowd control going on.

Extremely insightful, JohnDeere; I appreciate your post.  The right and the left are spinning this story like a dreidel so it's great to read something that is closer to the real truth.
