i recently saw some video from a guy who said AU was a championship-caliber, major player program in every way but one... 'when it counts' As in we vomit-choke on the main stage.  2013 football.  2019, 2025 basketball. Baseball forever.

I was thinking about that when I watched Arkansas vomit-puke-gag-choke away the LSU game. There are no bigger chokers than the Hogs.

Take a two-run lead in the ninth. Choke-gag. Shortstop inexplicably eschews a tailormade double-play to end the game to make an awkward force out at third. Left fielder barf/gag/chokes a semi-inbetweener that should have been caught. LSU scores three runs, eliminates pigs.

That play by the SS is where the game was lost. Never even looked at 2nd. Batter was slow as molasses.
LF was just a symptom of the choke.
