Chairman Maobama Seeks Hope and Change with Cuba
« on: April 17, 2009, 06:34:56 PM »
I'm not terribly surprised that The ONE is looking for a new beginning with our communist friends to the south; I've always thought that we as a country should be consistent in our dealings with communist thugs but, as is all-too-typical for wobbly Democrats socialists, they want to coddle these reprehensible criminals and murderer types; this only empowers them.  When will they learn that the only good communist is a dead communist.

I suppose that it'll take another Cuban air force jet shooting down a couple of American civilian, single engine planes (or another Mariel mass emigration from that wonderful island paradise) to 'change' The ONE's mind back to the status quo of the past 50 years.

We should've kept Cuba as a U. S. Protectorate after the Spanish-American War (instead of the Philippines).

Here's an excerpt from Breitbart.com:

Quote
Obama seeks 'new beginning' with Cuba
Apr 17 05:06 PM US/Eastern

PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (AP) - President Barack Obama says the United States is seeking a "new beginning with Cuba."

The president made the remark in Trinidad on the first day of a summit of Western Hemisphere democracies.

He said the United States is ready to engage with the Cuban government but cautioned the country would not simply talk for the sake of talking. Obama noted "decades of mistrust" and said he wants to talk with Cuban leaders about human rights, democratic reform and economic issues.

NICE.  He's gonna talk to a dictator about democracy.  I would surmise that Castro may know more.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

Apparently, like Jimmy Carter, The ONE has not met a thug or dictator that he hasn't liked either...this is from The Huffington Post (and was alluded to in another thread...apologies to any offended mod gods...and for using Huffpo as a source):
