We had a great time - the beach house was amazing and the Charleston Market was a lot of fun and Katie was so sweet. A very good mommy daughter weekend. She did me proud.
However, I am STILL hungover from Saturday night, and the mini-family reunion down at the pier. The uncles and guy cousins were all fishing while all my girl cousins and I were sharing multiple bottles of wine - we laughed and giggled and cried and caught up and made fun of the guys and overall had a damn good time. It has been a long long long time since I spent any amount of time with my extended family - I hadn't seen some of these cousins in years - and i had forgotten how much fun it can be to hang out with people you have known literally your whole life. No need to backstory anything, shared memories of growing up running wild on our grandparent's farm, and all the Christmases and birthday parties... it was incredibly fun.
Damn, I need a BC powder...
