I posted at the first of the season about a buddy of mine that wound up sitting next to a bunch of Clemson players and coaches at a BBQ joint in Montgomery the day before the AU game.  He watched a Bama fan go up to them and start mouthing off about wanting another shot at them because they got lucky to play so close etc.

One of the coaches asked him, "Who is your starting QB?" 

What?

That's what I thought.

Believe it or not this was a topic on sports radio on the left coast. 

After they talked about the incident -- Watson was run out of the bar Innis Free in tuscaloosa by fans and players, a fact celebrated by al.com -- they immediately started defending them. 

"You can't judge a program or a fanbase by the actions of a few rogue fans...."

Believe it or not this was a topic on sports radio on the left coast. 

After they talked about the incident -- Watson was run out of the bar Innis Free in tuscaloosa by fans and players, a fact celebrated by al.com -- they immediately started defending them.

It's an isolated incident.  DUH!

al.com rides to the rescue.   Despite a video showing Ryan Anderson telling Watson to leave.... he didn't do it.  They're buddies. He tried to pay Watson's tab. They're pals. When he was yelling at Watson and pointing at the door, he was really just trying to protect his bestest bud from the mean, skinny white boys who were going to say bad things to him. He's a knight. On a white horse. In shining armor.
