Title: Just so it's in one place...
Post by: AuburnChopper 3.0 on October 18, 2009, 10:42:37 AM
Even though you say "It's not about you Chopper", you bring me up in EVERY THREAD.   So...  Let me respond in this one and let the others go, so that I don't play YOUR game of blowing up every thread with your personal bullshit about me.  I know you'll claim dino-rant status here, but really if you think about it, I'm the only one between the two of us that seems to be able to contain this shit in one place when it comes up.  I believe actually you're the one with the red face and flared nostrils and I think it's funny...  However, let me point out a few things...

1.  Quit misrepresenting what I've said to make a point.   I've said CONSTANTLY that we have issues.  This bullshit with your "vanilla" references were about the BALL STATE game and in response to the voters that week in the polls.  It's there to be reviewed.  It's also in the same thread where you looked like a total dumbass with your "adjustments" vs. "change in philosophy" slip up.

2.  You whine and bitch about people getting personal with you on here.  Well, it's a message board, but if you continue to make it personal with constant personal shots and name calling, you get what you deserve.  I don't give two shits who you are in real life, but seeing you and knowing who you really are, I'm actually one of the very FEW on here that can seriously laugh my ass off at your "tough guy" routine.

3.  If it's "NOT ABOUT YOU CHOPPER"...the why in the St. Mary's FUCK do you bring me up in EVERY FUCKING THREAD?   You can't help yourself.  You can't.  All you care about is people here thinking you're a bad ass, so you bully the board and write like your some pissed linebacker on speed and a masters degree.  It's comical.

4.  Debates don't work by claiming positions on BOTH SIDES.  As much as you want to bitch about me taking a "wait and see" approach, you taking the front page writer and why we'll beat everyone approaches, and funny writing Kevin approach with your Malzahn offensive comedy post early this year, then switching seemlessly to THIS IS A FUCKING HINDENBURG and I FUCKING KNEW IT ALL YOU STUPID FUCKS approach doesn't make you smart, just makes you fickle and an asshole.

I came into this thread fully expecting Kaos to have something that SOMEWHAT resembled a coherent, entertaining response and all I got was this crap --->>  :haha: ???

Seriously?

Talk about a waste of space.

Making fun of handicapped kids is only fun for so long.

I don't have to say anything to make some people look dumb.  They do most of it on their own.

Ah...the obligatory, "O'DOYLE RULES!!!" response from Kaos.

Okay... I'll just claim both postions from now on and then call people handicapped and idiots from now on.

It's the Kaos "Blueprint".

I think the problem here is, some people didn't take a position. By the way they talked, it sure seemed like they were taking a position. Nothing but sunshine and unicorns, "this is possibly the best staff in the country", etc etc etc, but it was always followed by a "we'll have to see" or something similar. Now, some folks are wanting to play the Prowler card and say "well, I never said that this or that was going to happen".

Some here did make it clear what their position was, and I was one of them. I didn't think this offense would work in the SEC. After a 5-0 start however, I was sort of on board with it. I thought maybe I was wrong. But then the last two games happened. The offense went from fairly impressive to a relapse of '08 in one game. So far, it has worked against a woeful MSU, a middle of the road Tennessee. It hasn't worked against a porous Arkansas defense, or a bad KY defense. NOW its time for the meat of the SEC schedule for AU. I remember a few weeks ago folks like me were mocked "But ohhhh, I thought this offense wouldn't work in the SEC??".

Is it all that surprising that I'm chuckling a little after being taunted about it?

Okay...Even if true... What's wrong with that?  Also, why should people be ridiculed for wanting to wait and see as opposed to stressing over shit they have no control over, or couldn't know anything about yet?  When did having an opinion, and basing it on what's known been something you can't do on this message board?

When did THIS thread become about you?  Good job, RWS... You took a position...sort of... and now you're going thru multiple threads and making sure we all know it.

Okay...we got it.  Congrats.   You're a bad ass, possibly poster of the year.  Have a virtual beer on me.  :bar:

Meh, whatever. My point is, when people are prematurely taunted, don't be surprised when they remind you of it when becomes clear the taunting was in fact premature.

Prowler, three questions....

1) How does that shit taste?

2) How many points do you think AU beats UF by in the SECCG?

3) What bowl game do you think Alabama ends up in when we go 6-6 this season?

You Bama guys should know all about this.  You started taunting 50 years ago and have kept it up pretty much non-stop even when your teams (like most of the last 30 years) haven't had dick squat to taunt about.

No sense of propriety.  Just dumbass houndstooth bellowing.

It's sort of disingenuous to taunt and claim it's a response to premature taunting when in fact, it was just a continuation of taunting from previous years.  You bastards are just like Shane from Centerpoint (and sadly a few of ours here).

You say the same thing over and over and over.  For five years that rooty-poo bastard predicted an undefeated season for Bama.  Then last year he started crowing because "he knew it all along."  That's fucking ignorant.

We've got a couple like that.  We all know it.  We see them, too. But for every one of ours there are 20 of yours like that.  When you figure that the Alabama-backing population outnumbers the Auburn-backing population by about 12% or so, that 20-1 margin gives you guys a clear dumbass majority.

Were you right in this case?  Maybe so.  You, like me, weren't sure you were right two weeks ago.  Are you sure even now?

Can you say for sure that West Virginia and Tennessee were the anomalies? Or were Arkansas and Kentucky aberrations?

I'm not shy about voicing my opinion. I'm also intelligent enough to consider changing variables and adjust my point of view as new evidence emerges.  As I wrote several times (for those not so dense they can't comprehend it) I was encouraged by some of the things that I saw, but my overall opinion of the situation hadn't really changed all that much.

I cautioned against some of the very things that have raped us in the ass the last two weeks -- and took grief for it from a few who've attempted to pretend they didn't say what they said, which would be amusing if it weren't so sad.

But whatever.

Gloat now. As I was once told by BG, this shit is cyclical. You won't be on top forever. We won't be on the bottom forever, either.  Only Ole Miss does that. Couple of years from now when the new staff takes over.... hahaha.  Not going to start kicking that mule yet.  Just don't get comfortable you fucks.

I think Todd has re-injured his shoulder and they are keeping their lips shut. In that case, then no, I don't believe the past two games were aberrations. And I'm pretty sure I'm right. And as for gloating? You're fucking right. I've had to hear AU fans gloat for the past 10 years while our program was at its worst. That will leave a bad taste in anybody's mouth. You think I'm not going to say something when we're finally doing well, especially when some of those folks claimed that CNS would never be able to win like he did at LSU? Alot of AU fans loved throwing 6 in our faces. All the time, all you hear is.....6. But now you guys can't take it when we're at the top of our game? Please....

I know we won't be on top forever, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't enjoy it while we are. But, that also means I have to take my medicine when/if we drop a game or two.

Who is this guy?

This, is exactly what those dubbed "sunshine pumpers" have been trying to tell you (and bammers) all season, although perhaps not as effectively or clearly.

No one has claimed foresight or to know beyond all doubt that we're going to win the SEC this year.

That was you and the bammers who were so solidly certain. Chopper and I for sure have argued nothing besides "We don't know yet."

We have looked like shit in these middle two games in the season. Is it a slump, or a trend that will continue? I don't know. You don't either. I'll continue to hope the Arkansas & Kentucky games were anomalies. If LSU rips us a new asshole, I won't be too optimistic for the rest of the season.

Dumb.

I wish that were the case, but he can still throw 40+ yard bombs, just into double coverage.

So you were "right all along" and those of us who said we weren't going 3-9 this year were completely ignorant, uninformed, and unversed in the game of football. Yet, if what you say were the case, we were world beaters until our starting quarterback got injured, and this shows your vast superiority of football knowledge? This makes your predictions of ineptitude for our entire team, including and especially Todd, correct because he got injured? This makes those that said we could have a decent season this year ignorant?

Not entirely dumb.  If anyone here has had an old sports injury *raises hand* sometimes cold and humidity will cause it to act up.  I spent most of last night nursing my knees with advil and wine.

Sure he "threw 40 yard bombs" but with no-where NEAR the zip and fire that he previously had, and almost each time the receiver had to turn around to wait for the ball.

Not saying this is the case, or that I even truly think this is what's happening, (I haven't made up my mind yet) but it certainly can't be dismissed as hogwash just yet.

Yeah, he can still throw some downfield, but does the look of that throw remind you of any particular year? He's back to throwing some rainbows and lame ducks. I would guess that he is hurt again, and the cold really doesn't help. I'm pretty sure I'm right. If you think I'm wrong, then thats your opinion. Can you come up with any legitimate proof that he HASN'T re-injured his shoulder? I doubt it. I can point out alot of Saturday's game to back my statement up, though. Sure, I might be wrong, but I think I am right on this one.

My comment about being right was in reference to him being re-injured. I don't think the past two games will be aberrations because I believe he is injured again and I believe I am right in my guess. Jesus, sometimes I wonder if you would not get yourself so worked up, if you could actually understand what people are actually saying here. You get into such a rush to be defensive, you get defensive about the wrong thing.

Another fuck who doesn't know the rules.

When you make a statement, it is NOT incumbent on the person who calls you on it to prove you are wrong.  If you say he has injured his shoulder the burden of proof is on YOU to prove that statement.  If you have X-rays, MRI results, the opinion of the team doctor or something with which to substantiate your claim, please provide it.

It is not -- and never will be -- the burden of the person questioning your claim to provide proof that you are incorrect.  YOU made the statement.  YOU back it up.

This is a problem around here.

There's his reasoning.  And it has merit.  He's THROWING like he was last year when his shoulder was still bad.  We sit here and read your conjectures daily and don't ask for a fucking note from the school nurse to allow you to post what you think.

Short of an open admission by the University, which would make him canon fodder for the rest of the year, what else can you come up with to "prove" it.  You can't.  But his evidence does allow for the theory.

However, Todd didn't suddenly "forget" how to throw hard.  Sure, a bad game is in the cards for everyone now and then, so who's to say that he just wasn't in a funk.  But at the same time it's hard not to give this angle a valid look.

Cold and humidity do weird things to injured joints.

Those that were at the game saw a wide variety of passes from Todd.  Now granted, they were all off target but he still rifled some throws, like the one to Fannin in front of the student section.  That was about a 35 yard bullet....that should have been a touch pass for 6.  Can anyone explain how his newly torn up shoulder launched one 50-60 yards downfield and over the head of Zachary against Arky?

I don't have a clue if it really is hurt or not.  And until the team rteleases info saying it is, I'm going by what I saw.  Erratic as hell...yes.  Little confidence..yes.  Injured...no.

*actual question*
How cold was it during the Arky game?

I know that after this past Saturday, my knees and I had a come to Jesus talk with a pile of Advil and Aleve.
