Title: UAB/USM
Post by: Pell City Tiger on October 01, 2009, 11:10:11 PM
UAB is leading the Golden Eagles 30-17 with about a minute to go. This will be the Blazers first ever win against the boys from Hattiesburg.

Oh please.  Did you really expect to get a response on a thread about the Blazers and Golden Eagles? Ha.  What a maroon.

Wait...I just did.  Damn you.

The reality is that UAB is pretty competitive this year.  They may not have a football program in a year or two but they've won a couple and played fairly well against SMU and Troy.

Dark day in Hattiestown.

This is a team that until a loss to Kansas (that should have been a win) was riding one of the nation's longest winning streaks and was checking ESPN Sunday morning thinking they had a chance at being ranked.

Ouch...

Playing again.  And better than Julio.  That's all anybody really needs to know.

Outperformed him last year prior to the break, too.

That's incredible.  That was a nasty break.  Prothro sheds a tear.
