Anyone with insight on this?

A few days ago, Trooper Taylor kind of hinted that it was disciplinary. I've kinda wondered as well, how can you have an academic issue....after you have graduated?

The only thing I attributed it to was some screw up in grad school but that seemed pretty far fetched.

To stay eligible playing, you have to be taking a certain amount of hours per quarter/semister, and have pased a certain amount of hours the previous year. The NCAA is very picky about what you can and can't do to qualify academically. There may have been a miscalculation on total hours or hours he is enrolled in for this fall.

I have no idea if it is this or discipline issues. I am just talking from experience on qualifying academically. However, my experience was from about 15 years ago though...

That would make alot of sense actually, except don't they check all of that out before they let you graduate?

I understand that. I seem to remember Matt Leinart taking a 3 hour dance class his last semester at USC. I wonder what happened here.

RWS, if you have only say 15 hours to graduate but need 23 hours to be eligible to play, yes, it may be an over sight. At Troy, we had a guy that was our academic advisor that made sure everyone was eligible. With the changing of the guard so to speak, this may have been missed.

Again, I have no idea and not making excuses. Just giving a scenario of what MAY have happened.

You're probably not too far off. I can't imagine that there are many things, other than a scenario like this, that could happen to mess you up after graduation.
