Is Frank Sanders.
I'll see if I can find a link, or if someone else finds it first, post it.

I heard that today. We're finally getting another one of ours on the Sports Talk radio shows.

Awesome, and thank God.
Finally evens it out some.
You've got
Barker - legit bammer
LT - mild bammer, although he rarely discusses football
Fitzimmons - (was) the same as LT
Curry - neutral
And then there's Finebaum, while claiming a neutral "UT fan", it would take 3 Auburn guys to even out his bammerism alone.
Over on 690 you have D&B, both bammers, although both very tasteful and do a good job at least trying to be unbiased.
And then you have Al Del Greco. ONE Auburn guy in a sea of raging bammers.
This will be good for Birmingham radio.

That's why I'd rather listen to D&B on most drives home, because they actually talk about football and it isn't so one sided.

I'm going to give Frank a shot, but I must say that he sounded like a total idiot on the Finebaum show today. And he did it all by himself.
-
Another Auburn guy?
What's going on?? I'll take it.

Mobile radio personality, former Auburn star Brien Straw to join WJOX radio team

Special/WNSPBrien Straw
Birmingham sports-talk station WJOX 94.5 FM announced this morning that Mobile radio personality Brien Straw will join the station to replace the departed Ian Fitzsimmons on the WJOX midday show "The Roundtable."
Also, the station said former Auburn and NFL star Frank Sanders has joined the WJOX team to make several appearances each week on "The Roundtable" and on the morning show "The Opening Drive."
Straw joins WJOX from WNSP 105.5 FM in Mobile, where he has co-hosted a morning show. In Birmingham, he will co-host "The Roundtable" with Lance Taylor. His first day on the air here is Aug. 24.
Sanders, a Florida native, played wide receiver at Auburn and was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 1995 NFL draft. He played seven seasons for Arizona and spent the final two years of his career with the Baltimore Ravens before retiring in 2003.

Straw is the worst. An unabashed Ole Miss cocksucker who knows nothing about sports and has made a habit of bashing Auburn -- generally out of ignorance.

Is this true? Why would an ex-Auburn star receiver bash Auburn for no good reason?
To put it nicely, you tend to be "Glass half empty". Anyone else from the Mobile area think this as well?
I wouldn't doubt it. It would explain WJOX hiring hiring him. To "fill their quota" while still having the guy bash Auburn. Kind of like the Evan Woodberry of radio.

Ex Auburn star receiver? Auburn High School? Who is this guy?

I'm a tard and read the article wrong. They were talking about Sanders in that line.
But they do refer to him as an "former Auburn star".
At what position he was a "star", I don't know. I don't remember him either.
-
I don't really care because I don't pick up any of these folks. But when I read "Ex Auburn star, Brien Straw" I said, who the hell is that? Mrs. Straw's boy?
-
I'm now full-retard.
I just caught that they were saying this straw douche AND ex Auburn Star (Sanders).
The wording was confusing.
So this guy probably does suck.
Note: They changed the wording of the headline to now read: "Mobile radio personality Brien Straw, former Auburn star Frank Sanders to join WJOX radio team", so I'm not the only one that was confused.
-
Oooohhh....that makes more sense. Never mind.
-
The Ole Miss homer is joining The Roundtable, and Frank will be on the OD on Monday and Fridays, I think that's what Lance said.
I love listening to the RT, and I hope this pissant doesn't fuck it up!

I don't think he will, as long as they make him stick to the script.
